The Official Tennessee Titans thread IV

If it's true, I wonder what value we could get for him.

The fact that Smith is the guy mentioned in those rumors is instantly depressing and indicative of the coach we're likely to actually get.

That last write up makes zero sense? Unless I'm missing some contextual information

Do yall really believe this? I think he’s a decent coach, but I get major Jeff Fisher 2.0 vibes from him.

He's without question the best coach since Fisher's early years, could they do better IDK. Could they do worse, absolutely and probably would.

My guess is that the Titans will rebuild just in time to have a great season in the new stadium and then drop back to mediocre to bad after the first year or 2 in the new house.

The league is an offensive league. Unless Vrabel decides to bring in a coordinator that can develop a QB and run a more modern offense not much is going to improve to there point we can compete at the highest levels. There will no longer be a running back that can carry the team. No experienced line to block for that non existent running back.

You could always hire and offensive minded coach with a track record of developing QB's. Let him hire a Defensive Coordinator to run his defense.

We could do worse for sure but if he leaves it isn't the end of the world. Could be a good thing.

Yes the fact he has won any games with the roster the last two years or so is a miracle. Fisher had 6 winning seasons in his time here, Vrabs had 4 straight winning seasons before the roster turned to crap. Vrabel has had us in playoff contention every year he has been here (2018 was a win and in scenario week 17 and so was 2022) except this year.

People forget we had a top 5 offense in 2020 our issues on offense started with Art Smith leaving and the offensive line losing guys like a good Lewan, Saffold, and Conklin.

Vrabel saying he wants to be here was a classic non-denial of the rumors.

“Of course I want to be here. Be here as long as I can win.”

Sounds a lot like

“I don’t want to be here because I don’t think we can win.”
