Highest draft pick possible > everything.
The difference between 5-12 and 6-11 is one draft spot this year (7 vs 8), as there’s only 1 other team with a potential 6-win finish (the Jets, if they lose to the 2-win Pats would stay at 6-wins…there’s a good chance they win and the Titans are unable to move further down than 7).I’ll disagree. Culture of winning & effort > everything.
That awful Miami win really screwed a lot of things up.The difference between 5-12 and 6-11 is one draft spot this year (7 vs 8), as there’s only 1 other team with a potential 6-win finish (the Jets, if they lose to the 2-win Pats would stay at 6-wins…there’s a good chance they win and the Titans are unable to move further down than 7).
Unless you’re certain that the 5-win Chargers are beating the 10-6 Chiefs (who need the win to guarantee a home game) and/or the 5-win Giants are beating the 11-5 Eagles (who are potentially playing for their division and a 2-seed if Dallas loses) and/or the 4-win Cardinals are beating the 8-8 Seahawks (who are also playing for their wild card lives), the Titans are pretty much in a “same pick regardless” situation.
Also, maybe KC does win, but Patrick isn't playing today, so that gives LA a good shot. The difference between 5-12 and 6-11 is one draft spot this year (7 vs 8), as there’s only 1 other team with a potential 6-win finish (the Jets, if they lose to the 2-win Pats would stay at 6-wins…there’s a good chance they win and the Titans are unable to move further down than 7).
