The Official Tennessee Titans thread IV

Yea I like that. I am wanting a shot play vs Cov 2 or 4 in the deep middle... Any suggestions?

We call snag 82. So 82 y shake is our Y taking a step towards the corner and then breaking back inside on a post. It’s great against both. So is Mills (post from x with the slot running a dig). if your qb has a big arm. My guy can’t run Mills this year. So we will stick to dagger (seam from the slot with X on a 8-12 yard in) against quarters and take our 8-12 yards.

Do run a double seam out of a form of trips... Have the y or #3 run a skinny post (almost a divide) and #2 runs a go or a fade type route... And #1 goes on a 10 yard in with chance to sit in a zone... Same rules as mesh with Hal Mumme with the in route... It's a lot but the video is on youtube I think... I'm not positive though...

Him and Casey together......o my.

It would be awesome.

There's a decent shot at this now, IMO. He becomes an immediate starter on a playoff level team that has upgraded the roster strongly with Butler and Lewis. But the Saints are doing the same thing and they now say Dallas and Seattle are interested. So it's probably going to be about the deal and scheme as it usually is.

Would you rather have Sheldon Richardson or Suh? I’d take Richardson.

Edit: NVM. He gone

Given the option would have picked Richardson, but will take Suh in a heartbeat. Will probably know if they release Williams this coming week. To get cap space relief they have to make a decision.

Also we’ll be seeing Honey Badger twice a year now.

Yep, and the answer was a 1 year/$7 MM deal. He's trying to play his way into a bigger/better deal. Will see how it goes. His injury history at this point probably prevented a lot of teams from going there despite his talent. Probably why Robinson didn't bite along with Vrabel's planned use for Cyprien. I admire Mathieu's belief in himself to take that risk if he had other options. If it's me as Titans GM I am drafting a S with upside in this draft if available and give him a year to develop. Just not sold on Cyprien except in run support.

Titans released Sylvester Williams I wouldn't be surprised if we don't sign Suh now. Releasing Williams gives us more cap space to work with.

To release him this quick sure indicates they have a deal with Suh.

Slightly. We need playmakers on offense.

We’ve got Davis, Henry, Lewis now, Mariota, and walker. Not sure how much more you’d be able to afford. I honestly think T.Taylor may be better than Davis when it’s all said and done. Matthews isn’t the greatest but he is consistent. Mariota is still a question mark, as are most dual threat quarterbacks 5 years into the league. That’s why I prefer a pro style offense with a pro style quarterback.

The only question mark I see with Mariota is his ability to stay healthy. Sure, he didn't exactly have a phenomenal season this past year, but for the most part he's shown steady improvement since his rookie campaign.

That's all assuming your question mark was referring to something else, of course...

So after some early morning reading it sounds like the Titans visit went well. Looks like Suh also is enjoying the free agent tour and wants to possibly visit with the Seahawks as well. I like our chances to be honest given our available cap space & the fact we're a playoff contender. Still it hurts to let him let leave town without a signed deal though.
