Was good at pass protection. Decent rb in 2023 but looked much better in 2022. Noticeable dropoff in explosiveness and ypc. He had a broken leg in the playoffs in 2022 that might have slowed him down some last year. He can catch passes out of the backfield if needed. Still might not be a 3 down back. He performed best paired with a short yardage guy like Elliot, but again maybe he wasn't back to fully 100%.What do you think Pollard does well?
Possibly? Probably? That seems to be what's happening. Look at the top 30 rbs last year. Obviously McCaffrey and Henry are #1/2 and are paid well. Where are the rest of the high paid rbs? Who's taking up much of the top 20-30? Young guys in their first 2-4 years that are probably on low cost contracts. Remember last year when everyone was throwing a fit about guys like Saquon Barkley, Dalvin Cook, Ezekial Elliot, Josh Jacobs, Tony Pollard couldn't get high paying long term contracts? Where are those guys in relation to everyone else after seeing how 2023 rbs looked?Wow, just saw the numbers for Pollard. Feel like we could have gone cheaper and gotten the equivalent player.
We can use pass pro for sure. And maybe receiving from backfield is a help, too.Was good at pass protection. Decent rb in 2023 but looked much better in 2022. Maybe he'll return to his previous form with more time to get over his 2022 broken leg.
The money isn't bad. D'Andre Swift got the same amount.Titans signing Pollard to that amount is hysterical. This franchise is beyond saving.
