The Official Tennessee Titans thread IV

George Kittle is 6'4 250 4.5 40
Travis Kelce 6'5 250 4.6 40

Brock Bowers 6'4 240 4.4 40

Bowers has slipped in recent mocks he could possibly be there at 7. A few months ago I would have said no way he's available.

Bowers, Alt, Harrison, Nabers

I’m happy with any of those 4. Nabers is probably my number one and Bowers is probably my number 4, but I’m happy with any of those 4

If you are going to take advantage of what the D gives you, then you must have a quality TE who can also block as needed. Especially important with a revamped O line that is going to need time to build chemistry. Need to ability to get it out quicker to a quality receiver underneath. This org never understood that in recent years.

When they sent one or more TE's out on the field it telegraphed the likely play because they always had a Joker type for pass catching. The other bigger bodies were going to block 90+% of the time. If they caught a pass they could not do anything with it. The top teams have the TE type who can find the openings in the zone and then do something with it after the catch along with providing adequate blocking. Brian/Ran will probably be shifting from the ground and pound to a more updated running game where the TE does not drive block and focuses on blocking downfield.

That screams Bowers IMO.

Having a guy like him and a real threat on the outside will tell us if Levis has it between the ears. Make Burks the possession guy.

And they will probably not do any of this. 🤣

Ran and Brian probably feel like kids on Christmas morning with that kind of money to play with to shore up the roster.

The problem is the Titans already was one of the Top teams with money to spend. That higher cap space allows teams that weren't going to be able to spend in FA a little more wiggle room to compete in FA or resign guys that would have originally become available.

So did anyone else here Greg Cosell on 3HL on 104.5 in Nashville this week in regard to his thoughts on Joe Alt?

Yeah he’s definitely not as high on Alt as others are. Think he said there are like 3 or 4 tackles in the draft he likes more. But even though he’s well-respected, he’s just one guy. I’d still love to have Joe Alt. But if we attack O-line with free agency instead, I’d be all in on Bowers or Nabers.

I can kind of see where he's coming from with Alt. He's not overly powerful but he wins with his positioning and technique. I didn't see him whooping up on inferior edge rushers or tackles in the run game enough though. A top tier pick should be manhandling people. But he did win his reps so there something to be said for that.

I like the Penn St guy more.

I wonder where Alt would be projected if he didn't go to Notre Dame...

Here is one to look for. Reporting between our guys and Atlanta.

Seems like a classic J-Rob type move to me, but who knows. If it worked out and he played well it would be special.

I've read om X and saw a couple random YouTube vids stating that Harrison Jr.'s stock may be falling because of his no showing the combine interview.

It’s very unlikely. A lot of the guaranteed high picks tend to opt out of the combine and only do their schools’ pro days (with the field surfaces, equipment, and personnel - such as the QBs who already have experience throwing passes to them and the WRs that already have experience catching passes from them).

Bowers also did not attend the Combine, likewise the top QBs Caleb Williams and Jayden Daniels, while showing face, did not participate in any drills.

Not doing the drills is a standard for most top guys but skipping out on interviews is usually a no no.

Alt, Fashanu, and Nabors dominate our picks in the current mocks. A handful of outliers, but those three are on the vast majority subject to any trade ups and downs.

As an unbiased observer, I would take Alt or Fashanu. Can never go wrong with an All-Pro caliber OT in the next 10 years. Plenty of WR’s you can easily find

You can easily get get a potential really good WR in the second round. Much easier to hit in later rounds
