The Official Tennessee Titans thread IV

I’m not ready to give up on Levis. He needs better targets and better protection

I'm all for being patient, but he has singe handedly nuked 3 or 4 crucial drives in the first two games. That has got to be fixed or he doesn't have much going for his longevity in Nashville.

PK says Levis has a Superman complex which I think is spot on. He is young and trying to be the hero. It can be coached out of him, time will tell.

I remember when some in here thought Levis, the Callahans, Ridley, Hopkins, and Tyler Boyd were going to transform the offense.

I think they’re for sure an upgrade, but I agree many seemed to think we now had a top ten unit. Similar to our offensive line.

I’ve expected us to be below average in both areas, but I also applaud our gm for making massive upgrades to both units and our defense

First two games against awful teams and we are even worse. Is there a QB even worth taking in next years draft if we get a top 3 pick?
Not really. Ewers is probably the best, but I don't think he's a top 5 QB in most drafts. We need to avoid Milroe, Sanders and Beck like the plague. Dart is system QB and likely won't get drafted in round 1, or if he does it will be in mid to late round 1.

I do think Allar might have the most upside, but he's has accuracy issues and hasn't been able to win any big games.

Pretty obvious he believes "he" is the man to the exclusion of his responsibilities to his teammates. Which is how he has always been going back to college. This is Year 2, not Year 1. Should not be happening.

Not our call. If they get tired of it enough or he morphs into something better it will change.

I've been thinking about the game a little more and one more thing that bothers me..... This time I'll have to blame either Ran, the head coach or both.

We let a lot of really good super athletic special team guys we could have signed get away from us. Today the blocked kick looked to me like a blown assignment by Gibbons. He's a gamer but not the most athletically gifted guy, not ideal for a special teams role.

They are going to have to figure that out..... And quick.

I’m a lot less disappointed that the Titans again found a way to prove my game prediction again mainly because I couldn’t watch the disappointing result because I was working at Texas Roadhouse which doesn’t get NFL Sunday Ticket.

The Titans remain stuck in a loop because they haven’t been able to score above 17 points.

I’m not surprised that the Jets found ways to prosper because the Jets greatly needed to rebound with a victory after being made an embarrassment that the 49ers outplayed without any struggles.

I wasn't able to get on here during the game.

Levis isn't the only young QB over the years that has had a habit of trying to do to much.
OL I think played better but still a long way to go.

What is our Special Teams doing? Two weeks in row not only giving up a blocked punt but nearly getting Stonehouse killed.

Punt Blocking being this bad is ridiculous.

I haven't looked into is whether or not Stonehouse plays a role in this at all. The only reason I point this out is because this is 3 straight regular season games that Stonehouse has had a punt blocked, despite different coaching staffs and different personnel. So the common dominator in Stonehouse. Is it possible he holding the ball too long? Or are we just that inept at blocking? Taking .5-1 second longer on average could be the difference in getting it blocked or not.

I can't blame Levis for being victim to a poorly run franchise.... While he was great value in the second round, he wasn't the right pick for team or the roster...
