The Official Tennessee Titans thread IV

Yep but my fear is Levis gets hurt or plays even worse which forces Rudolph to play and we win a few more games than we would have.
Only if we can beat those teams with 1 offensive TD and like 3-4 FGs.

(Rudolph was what, 9/17 for 85 yards playing almost the entire game?)

Defense has been good enough so far for that to win. Just don’t do stupid stuff like Levis does.

At least we are not the Jags who paid Lawrence all that money and they might be worse than the Titans.

GM needs to be fired.......all kidding aside on Levis, there is no need to bench him now. This season is over. The GM does not need to be deciding our high pick we are gonna get.

It appears the team is tanking intentionally by continuing the play the loser. So no worries, the org is great at drafting and such.

😂

You have to work hard to do what Poser Will does. Kudos.

In true Titans fashion, Levis will get injured and Rudolph will lead us to a pointless 7-10 or 6-11 season. Putting us just out of range of the draft picks we really need.

i didn’t even see levis pretend to shoot spiderwebs after that 1Q TD. 2 memes in one game is truly generational.

Hopefully that doesn’t happen, but im still puzzled on who we should pick if we have top 5 pick. I don’t think we should draft a QB with this Oline till it gets fixed and we are at league average at that position group.

Wouldn't mind an edge rusher or trade back and get right tackle. Trading back this draft would probably be the best bet, stack picks for the following year.

I feel like the fear should be that this ownership and coaching staff get a top 3 pick because they will undoubtedly screw it up....

I'm still amazed that the boy wonder hire that got all the roster upgrades one could wish for has only 1 win....

100% agree. I want the rest of the team addressed and picks available to trade up for a top QB in 2026 if necessary. For 2025 live with loser, play Rudolph, or sign a rental for a couple of years.

This org will probably do none of those things other than live with loser.

To be fair, this team’s most likely getting that kind of result regardless of which current QB on the roster is starting from here onward.

We would be at least 3-2 if Rudolf was the starter from Day 1. Maybe even 4-1, as the Jets game would be a toss up with Rudolf. I don't think there is argument to be made otherwise.

But the real question is, would I want to be 3-2 right now with a QB who has no future and with a team that is still likely to miss the playoffs or have a first round exit? I have to say, I don't think I would prefer that scenario either. That's basically the same team we've been the last 2 years. IMO, treading water with no future at QB is just as bad as drowning with no future at QB. At least by drowning you can get a better pick and a better chance at finding a franchise altering player. The only thing that makes me pause, is that if we could finish with 7 wins or more with Rudolf, that might make us reconsider going QB this draft, and instead go BPA and address QB in 2026 when the class is deeper.

I hope we can get a decent pick for D-Hop. But more likely, we will get a 7th rounder, or we will swap a 5th and 6th. I don't think there is anyone else worth trading. May be Spears since he's a RB without any ACL's and a RBs shelf life is like 4 years.

While I prefer to wait till 2026 to draft a QB, the reality is that Ran and Callahan will likely not wait that long. They will both likely be out of a job if we are terrible again in 2025 (at least Ran likely will anyways). So they have added incentive to try and find a QB that can win some games and look good doing it.

That means this off-season we are likely either signing a FA like Darnold/Wilson/Fields, or that means that we are likely drafting a QB early this year (or both scenarios could happen, like Atlanta).

In the event we decide to take a QB, I hope we take either Ewers or Ward. Ward is my preference in this scenario because Ewers has been injury prone.

Neither of those QB's is a significantly better pro option than Levis. Ward is intriguing but his delivery and motion is going to hold him back.

The next draft is where you will likely hit. Ran has a few years to figure it out. He's not going to be fired in year three. If he does then Amy is officially running this team into the ground

I think Darnold would be interesting (if he keeps it up with Minny)

The average life span of an NFL GM or HC is roughly 3 years. It is what it is. This is Ran's 2nd year. A 3rd straight year of being terrible will likely send him out of the door. That's just the nature of the NFL.

I am not super high on Ward or Ewers either. However, I do like Drew Allar of Penn State. Regaerdless, I just think it's super likely we draft a QB and those are the best to choose from. And that's just the reality of the NFL world we live in. Hopefully we decide to sign a FA QB this winter (Darn old, Fields, Wilson) rather than draft a QB.

Of course, signing a solid QB also makes it more likely that we don't finish high enough to select an elite QB in 2026, so it's a bit of a double edged sword. May be, we can trade back in the 1st round in 2025 and get multiple 1st rounders in 2026 to trade up if we need to.

Was Levis Ran's or Vrabel's guy? If it was Ran's then yes, I could see a possibility for Ran being cut loose. But I think Amy made a mistake by not clearly defining roles so I could see her treating this as year one.

I don't think it really matters. Ran makes all final decisions. Again, odds are Ran is gone if we don't show significant improvement over the rest of this season and/or 2025. That's simply the average GM lifespan.

Looking at the remaining schedule, this is likely a 5 win team at best. They are "competing" with the pats, browns, jags, panthers, raiders, giants and rams for the #1 pick in a year where there is no clear guy at that spot. This is not the year to be the worst team.
