The Official Tennessee Titans thread IV

The fact they still trot out NPF is criminal. Good thing Callahan talked tough this week the team really bought it haha.

Keep playing Levis. Whatever hopeful thoughts they have they can develop him into a viable QB needs to be honored until they give up completely.

I try so hard to be a fan of this team, but they are so rock headed.

Don’t see another win on the schedule. If we can’t beat Mac Jones and the Jags at home, we certainly can’t beat Burrow and the Bengals here either. Top 3 pick incoming

Relative wants to go to next home game because I've promised him we'll go to Big Titans team store as soon as we get there to spend money left on the food, beverage account that can now be spent on clothing then get some Martin's BBQ before heading back to Club seats. At least he's happy about coming to a game. The play calling when we were on their 4 with a first down was the worst I can remember and have been coming since 1999.

In watching Levis today something occurred to me. Being a QB isn't natural to him. He's an athlete with an arm....... He isn't a QB. Some QBs you can coach up they will retain info or lock it into their mechanics and procedures.

Levis just always has something going on, today it was throwing late, granted sometimes the defense dictated that but other times he was simply late with the throw. With Levis you're always going to be close, and that's the frustrating part.......but you're never going to get it refined IMO.

I've thought that all along....He's a linebacker mentality playing QB...I think he's gung ho to a fault. As in I bet he sleeps with his helmet on....chinstrap buckled and mouthpiece in.....Think Tackleberry in Police Academy.

If it's top 5.....I'm trading out so fast..........Stockpile picks.

Turnover is going to be massive for next year.
Hopefully, we finish with a top 3 pick, trade out into the 6-10 range and take either a WR or an Edge. I can't handle another top 10 OL. We need an elite skill player on both sides of the ball.

Then, since we'll have an extra 1st in 2026, we will be able to trade up for Manning/Nico/whoever if need to trade up in 2026.

Yes. He has never been able to read coverages well - college or pro. So he locks on and waits, then panics. He cannot play within a system for more than a game or two after which he reverts back to who he is. He is reasonably accurate with short and intermediate when his head is on straight. He is below average long, especially because he panics as it takes being in the pocket longer and his O-line sucks, contributing to the panic. He will never make it through a season without being out for injuries because he exposes himself to big hits.

As you state he is an athlete with an arm, not a natural QB.

This was known pre-draft. Which made the pick all the more stupid.

Titans drafting Nico would bring back a ton of Vols fans into the fold, but there would be so much pressure to not "ruin" him. And any mistakes he made would be blamed on the franchise/GM/head coach.

I was thinking about this last night. I didn't think we'll be able to. Early trades are QB driven..... And there's maybe two guys with a first round grade.....I don't this for sure haven't looked at it but I didn't think there's much QB talent in this draft.....

I think in order to secure a trade you need to be in top 3.

Top 3 is almost a given based on what we saw yesterday……

I hope we trade with Dallas or Las Vegas so they can get Shedeur and fleece the crap out of them
🤔 ;)

That's the thing though. I bet we win at least 1 to 2 more and end up around 5
