The Official Tennessee Titans thread IV

Had a blast. Crowd was into it.

I still say your point differential doesn’t lie and we are not a good team, but I think we are a playoff team!

I just hope we can win the next two, because I doubt we'll beat the Rams or Jaguars (Again).

Possibly Jags because maybe have nothing to play for, and Rams wouldn't surprise me because any given Sunday also Titans could play their best game.

Decent Afc south because Titans and Jags winning teams and a 2 teams race.

I'll take the W, but not sure we can win out the way we're playing.

We've taken winning ugly and made it an art form. 8-4 feels great after these last few years, but if we play like this down the stretch we're likely getting skull ****ed by Jacksonville and not lasting more than a round in the playoffs.

I'll take the dubs with the hope that we catch fire come playoff time.

There's always hope, I just wouldn't hold my breath. It's week 13 and our offense has been lackluster all season. Hard for me to believe they're just going to find a spark at this point, but we'll see.

If not, I hope we upgrade our offensive coaching this offseason, if for nothing else but Mariota's continued development, because he has hit a steep regression this season. But I fear we won't. Mularkey just has the feel of a guy who's scared he might hire his replacement. I always kinda felt that was one of the reasons he hired Robiskie in the first place.

Total speculation on my part, though. In the meantime, 8-4 is pretty sweet :)

I think he’s faster than we want to give him credit for because of those long strides like you said.

He has very deceptive speed, almost looks effortless, similar to Josh Dobbs IMO. Could be absolutely flying down the field but it always looks like he's just gliding along. Eric Dickerson always had that, too.

Like you guys pointed out, probably just because all three are tall and have long legs/long strides.

Puts me in the mind of Chris Johnson too. He was a little dude but man he could smoke a defense and it look like he was out on a Sunday stroll

I said it earlier in this thread and I’ll say it again, I’m not gonna complain about winning ugly. At this level an ugly win is still win, more so than on the college level. Like you I’m happier than a pig in crap to be sitting at 8-4 and more than likely going to the playoffs barring a major collapse.

This team angers me so much thus causing me to talk bad about them during the game, but afterwards I'm proud of them for coming through during crunch time so often. Still very flawed for an 8-4 team, but I'll take it

What I'd give for that Miami game back. 9-3 right now and we can basically sleepwalk into the playoffs.

So guys as we near the end of this third season, are we still on board with Mularkey? No doubt he has changed the attitude and culture here but do we believe he can get us to the next step in our development?

I'm not sure, but I'd be scared to go a different route with the way things are going. We keep improving with him as our hc, but I don't like Robiskie and I don't think he's getting the most out of the offense.

I’m good with him till he loses. I don’t think he’s a genius but he’s good enough. Also too, he will trust his team to get a yard on 4th and one.

That's how I feel. Our luck we try to "upgrade" staffs and everything falls apart.
