The Official Tennessee Titans thread IV

I hate how Mularkey obviously played for the FG on that 3rd down despite Mariota actually having a good day today. Why would you call that play knowing the opposing QB has passed for 300+ yards on your secondary already? He'll say he "had faith in defense to get a stop," and that's fine to say in public. However, I just don't see how he can honestly think that the D would stop such a hot team.

Rams will score 42+ on us.
Jags will score 42+ and shut us out

But hey, all we gotta do is win our next two right ?

We all knew Mularkey wasn't the answer when he was hired, yet we hired him anyways. When you make s**t hires you get s****y seasons. I'm sick of the incompetence at the top.

The 3rd down play call was fine

Murray running into his own lineman and laying down was not..

We're seriously going to end the season on a 4 game losing streak and piss away our playoff berth.

If it helps open our moronic ownership’s eyes regarding Mularkey, I hope we get blown out the next two weeks.

I’m sorry. I know it’s been a long playoff drought, and I know the fans are starving for something, anything. But personally, I have no interest in ass backing into the postseason only to get blown out on wildcard weekend, especially if it helps, in any way, to prolong the tenure of this bum head coach.

So you knowingly call a run for a RB that has been doing exactly that for most of the game? I counted twice before that final play where he did not even attempt to find the gap and just ran forward with his head down.

Let's be honest this team has issued all over the defense. DE, corner, safety. The offense has no excuses. Coaching is just plain bad and the team is taking on bad coaches philosophy.

I won't be running in next year as long as Malarkey is still here. Other game will do the same, and Tennessee will lose its franchise. That may have been the plan all along.

Yep. We don't have a chance against any legitimate playoff team.

Have the owners expressed interest in moving the team?

Seeing the struggles of my football teams has made me appreciate more what David Poile and Peter Laviolette have been able to accomplish with the Preds here.

Nashville is top 5 growing city in the US. No way would Adams be dumb enough to move the franchise

Whatever happened to all that hard nosed tough physical football ish that Robinson and co were selling? This team is soft and gets softer every game they play

Clearly I'm wrong and on the mark because the Titans didn't win a close game instead lost a close game 25-23.
Not far off 24-20, Mariota threw 1 more td than I predicted amd Henry didn't run for 2 tds and over 115 yards.

This is a awful loss that is extremely frusrating. Today the defense was detrimental because didn't defend when needed most.

Any QB with decent mobility will be successful against this team. Non-Completions were only because of inaccuracy. Not because guys weren’t open.

Here's a stark difference between Mularkey and Shanahan.

Q4 with 1:12 remaining. 3rd & 2 on 49ers 32. Call a run for a player averaging under 3 YPC in the 2nd half to setup a FG attempt of 50+ yard for a kicker who was 1/4 on kicks from that distance on the year. Other choices: rollouts, designed QB runs, quick passes. Also note that the opposing team's QB has thrown for 300+, their kicker is 5/5, and the offense as a whole only punted once all game.

Q4 with 00:12 remaining. 2nd & 10 on TEN 30. Call a deep pass that would have been 6 if not for the overthrow and despite being in FG range for a kicker that was 5/5 up to this point.

Lol.. the Titans are not leaving Nashville.

I was not aware of the lease being that long but our ownership situation is about as far from ideal as it can get.

While Nashville is growing remember the city of LA wouldn't support one team and now have two.

I don't have any inside knowledge as to if the Titans will leave or not. All I know for sure it's this franchise is inept from top to bottom.
