Let's be honest, this team has overachieved so far this season. They were due for a loss. Chalk it up and on to the bye week for rest and improvement.

Hopefully Oakland can hold on against Houston. Although a loss today hurts, that Houston game is going to be huge for the division.

sad revelation: the only reason this team didn't get 40+ points put up on it was because Ben threw it right to a CB on a play everyone on his team thought was a spike

While we're at it, let's all thank Oakland for doing their best to choke away this game to Houston.

And right as I post that, a game-winning INT. Thank you Raiders.

Yeah, hard to watch yesterday. The team that played in Jacksonville showed back up in Pittsburgh. The team is still in position to win the division and my enthusiasm for the Houston game still is not diminished. So no harm, no foul.

Bad weekend for Tennessee football fans, but it's just football.

Good analogy. Accurate, IMO. Hopefully #8 doesn't go down with a thumb injury.

Matthew and the passing game, for the most part, looked like they were on another planet vs the Steelers. It seems that the reason so many throws looked like they were thrown to open space rather than a WR is because the WRs and QB are making different reads on the option routes. Maybe it's because the Steelers secondary did an effective job of disguising the coverage.

On the bright side, Damian Williams has looked pretty good the last two weeks and is growing as a WR. After a sketchy start to the season, he's looking like the guy we thought he could be. Cook didn't have the big run, but looked decent with Polamalu covering him a lot of the day.

OL sucked in the run game.

Really can't stress enough how important the Texans game will be, especially if they lose to the Ravens. If they lose to the Ravens and Titans, we will have a 2 game lead and tiebreaker.

Thought this was interesting.

Jim Wyatt said:
Option routes: Quarterback Matt Hasselbeck and his receivers looked out of sync at times against the Steelers.

On one play, Hasselbeck’s throw went to the outside while tight end Jared Cook turned in. On another, wide receiver Damian Williams went long when the throw was short.

Munchak said the Titans called several option routes, meaning the receivers have an option based on the coverage they face.

“Matt is seeing it one way and maybe the receiver is seeing another,” Munchak said. “And when you are throwing it 50 times, there is more of a chance of some of those things happening.”

Hasselbeck was 29-of-49 for 262 yards against the Steelers.

The Titans are also adjusting to not having Kenny Britt in the lineup, Munchak said.

“It’s a work in progress,” he said.

Also, Griff will be fine. Tore some ligaments but won't miss time. McCarthy might be out with a hamstring injury. This is unfortunate, IMO, as Ruud has been a disappointment so far.

Three home games after the bye. Going 3-1 in the 2nd quarter of the season is a distinct possibility, and despite this loss, there are still many reasons to be (cautiously) optimistic.

Derrick Mason... Ravens, Jets and now Texans. Ew

Hope he likes losing to the Titans! ;)

Looks like Andre Johnson will miss the first Titans game and Mario Williams is out for the year. Hopefully the Titans can take advantage. I'd be happy just to split with the Texans after the beat down the Steelers gave us :(

I might be in the minority, but I feel like the ass whipping the Steelers put on the Titans will be good for the team. I think they thought they could just show up and compete. It seemed like Hasselbeck alluded to something like that in his comments to the press yesterday.

Anyway, the three home games in a row are all very winnable, although Cincy is a lot better than anyone anticipated and Houston could very easily be 5-0. As for the Colts, even though they're down, I still won't be comfortable about the Titan's chances of winning that game until they prove it.

At what point does Munch give Jamie Harper a chance to show what he can do?
