I could see us potentially getting in with a loss to the Texans as well.... It would be a long shot, but basically, Jets would have to lose 2 of their last 3, and Cincy would have to lose to Baltimore.

Wait.... with Houston being in the AFC, I'm not sure we would still control the tiebreaker if we had a 3 way tie with Oakland and NYJ

If Cincinatti loses to Baltimore, Jets lose to Eagles and Giants, we lose to Texans, we are in.

okay, that's what I thought, but with those two Jets losses being NFC, wouldn't we have the same conference record? What's the next tiebreaker?

Or Jets lose to Miami and one of the other two, then we are in on conference record.

Anyway, I trust the Jets to lose one of their last three games, but not two.

If the Titans win out they're in IMO. Things will work out with the other teams, I believe.

I do not expect it to happen, though. A playoff berth is simply icing on the cake for a very young team that has exceeded my expectations. Very excited about the future of this team and really enjoying the present, while not taking anything for granted. Fun season and it isn't over yet.

If the Titans won out and the Jets just lose 1 of their last 3 the Titans are in. Wouldn't even have to have the Bengals lose.

Yeah, we were discussing possibilities if the Titans lose to Houston how they could still potentially be in with 2 jets losses and a Cincy loss to Baltimore. I think the Raiders will take care of themselves...

I would've rather beat the Saints.... But I'm trying to psych myself up to watch some football. The more scenarios I can come up with, the more rooting interests I have down the stretch. Basically just root for the Jets, Bengals and Raiders opponents the rest of the way.

Yeah, if they could all just lose out, that would be greeeaaaaat.

Oakland losing out or 2 of 3 wouldn't surprise me. They're pretty bad right now, regardless of their opponent. I could see all losing 2 of 3 now that I think of it. Bengals play Arizona who is playing their best ball of the season and finish with Baltimore. The Jets have the Eagles w/ a healthy Vick, the Giants, and Miami.

Lots of potential scenarios out there, I tell ya. More worried about the Titans, but we're not out of the playoffs by any stretch of the imagination.

Well I just read this on FB,and I dont like our chances much now.

Titans quarterback MATT HASSELBECK (calf injury) did not practice on Wednesday, and JAKE LOCKER (chest) was limited in practice. Head coach MIKE MUNCHAK addressed the quarterbacks’ injuries after practice.

Munchak on Matt Hasselbeck: “We held him out today. We will see how he is tomorrow … We are not worried about him knowing the offense or knowing what we are doing as much as the fact the he physically feels comfortable doing those things … He knows if he doesn’t feel right, and he will be honest with us. So we still feel good about him and hope that he will be ready to go Sunday.”

Munchak on why Locker was limited: “Just some soreness. We were careful with him today. He did a lot of the things in the run game but we kind of limited his throws in practice but nothing that would keep him from playing on Sunday.” ... read more: Coach Munchak's Wednesday Practice Report

Elsewhere, running back JAVON RINGER has been ruled out this week with a hand injury. PATRICK BAILEY (hamstring), WILLIAM HAYES (groin), GERALD MCRATH (knee/ankle) and NATE WASHINGTON (ankle) also did not practice Wednesday.

No big deal. Late in the season, if you aren't missing some practice, you're not doing your job.

Sounds like 'beck and Locker should both be good to go. I thought Ringer was already on IR, so definitely no surprise there that he's not going to play lol.

Hass and Locker are some tough guys, they'll play. That being said we could probably start Rusty Smith and still beat the 2011 Colts.

:eek:lol: don't jinx us!

They did play the Pats semi-tough, but we have a defense some days.

Pats game was alot of garbage time stats and scores though...while it was close at the end, it was 31-3 before the colts scored their first TD with 10 minutes left in the game (31-10), and then they had scored 2 TDs in the last 2 min (including one in the last 30 secs)

Notice I called it a scenario...Do you understand what a scenario is?

It's cool, though. I know you want to piss on our parade since you've got no parade to piss on anymore. Yours has already been flushed down the crapper. :cray:

No, it's just sitting in the toliet, stinking the joint up. It's one of the big ones, that has to be broke up into pieces to fit down the toliet. Much like justins posts.

That's what I will call taking a dump from now on...... Giving birth to a Justin.

Ringer still isn't on IR yet. Both our QB's are a go. No offense Taz, but I take your info, and expect the exact opposite to be gospel.
