This team sure is giving a lot of opponents "firsts" in Knoxville this year. I will not miss this season. And I am excited to get some fresh blood in here next year so we can sit Gaines, Pember, and Plavsic. I don't see the hype around any of them.

I still can't get over that 15 second span where Gaines missed 2 FTs then made 3 straight boneheaded plays to turn it over. I was screaming for someone else to get the ball because I could tell he was determined to turn it over.

Proud of our guys today. They fought and played hard we just don't have the horses, specifically consistent shooters or guys who can create their own shot driving to the basket. Also losing Turner and JJJ being out.

Still, our young guys are getting experience and will be better for it. All the things against them and they still would have had a great chance to win if refs got things right. I counted 16-18 points for UK that shouldn't have been on the board due to bad/missed calls.

It's not happening man. We had to have this one today for it to even be a possibility, and we sure as hell aren't winning at UK or at Auburn. And given the horseshoe wedged up Pearl's ass right now we could be up 15 with 30 seconds to play and still lose to them.

It's going to be enough of a struggle to stay good enough to get an NIT bid, as that's not even a given anymore. And while NIT bids usually suck I think this team really needs the extra practice and game experience.

Good effort, just lacking depth and experience. Really need JJJ back & healthy, the rest of the guys are building some good chemistry though right now and Jalen has stepped up a ton.

That 3 goes down when it was 66-61 by Bowden and I think we make a stronger push. Refs gave back a few towards the end on Fulkerson I thought were a tad questionable, but ultimately Kentucky finished hot and made their FTs.

Go look at his numbers in conference play. Our “star” player is very much the reason.
