This thread may bring a little more sanity to the board. Lets hear everyone's thoughts about the Alabama game. Brent Schaeffer of Ole Miss had his best game of the season as far as passing. Looks like their secondary is very vulnerable, but their run defense is usually very solid.

Big day for Erik Ainge and Robert Meachem?

Also, Kenneth Darby ran the ball very well (over 150 yards, I believe) against Ole Miss. But... who doesn't run the ball well against them?

Huge day by all, Our D will be top notch, Ainge and Meach will have huge games along with our HB's.

Like I told someone we will pick them apart like a thanksgiving turkey.

my money is on Ainge and Meachem having an awsome day...and Coker/Foster to have a decent day...ill say we win(35-17)

I hope you're right, but this always seems to be a very close game... regardless of talent level.

Well true because of the hatetread for each other. but unless a whole new alabama team shows up saturday. we will look like a new polished porsche. Smooth very smooth

Very true... Alabama will have to play like they haven't played all season to keep pace with UTs offense.

Unless Alabama's D pulls something special on their defense...

I expect Tennessee to come out by over 30 points.

Ainge - Meachem - Swain will play flawlessly.

O-Line and HB's have a big game, too. Racking up over 160 yds.

And our D gets 3 turnovers.

Swain may not even play due to his high ankle sprain. Those take a while to heal, but I guess we'll hear more on that early next week.

Swain not playing could hurt a little, but I think that Smith, Rogers, Taylor or Briscoe cold hold down the fort along with Meach.

I'm right there with you. The WRs are the least of my worries going into the Alabama game.

Fact is, as long as Ainge keeps playing like he has and continues to improve game to game, any receiver is going to have a decent day if they do what they're supposed to do.

I would probably have a good day at WR with Ainge throwing me the ball. I'm 6' and 180 pounds. Sounds like a descent size for a WR, but I'm pretty sure I'd get broken in half by those guys.

Ainge could just throw me the ball as I'm falling out of bounds on the sidelines so I don't have to take a hit!

Actually I disagree with you guys about the rivalry thing, here's why:

Tennessee has had two weeks off and have healed a little bit.
Alabama just played an emotional game (albeit against Ole Miss)
Alabama is nicked and banged up
JP Wilson has a thigh contusion which takes a while to heal, if UT's defense gets to him a few times, he will fold like a cheap tent.
Tennessee will be looking for revenge from the loss last year
Alabama's offense looks average against an awful Ole Miss team
Tennessee's offense is clicking and Alabama hasn't played a similar high octane offense all season.
Alabama has Darby, that is all...8 men in the box, stop Darby and their is no Alabama superstar like Prothro anymore.

I could go on and on guys, my prediction is Tennessee wins by at least 3 touchdowns.

I think we win handily, but not sure if we can put up that many points since Bama will surely try to slow the game down.

Swain will play, or at least he says he will. He is from Alabama so I'm sure he has this game circled.

Also, Bama does have DJ Hall at WR, so they aren't completely absent of a playmaker. I still think we roll, pun intended.
