The Official Tennessee vs. Florida Game Thread, 1:00pm ET(03/15/14), ABC

And a 16-seed has never beaten a 1-seed in the first round.

11-seed plays 6 in the first round, and the winner of 3/14 in the second round.

11 seed is much more desirable than 9 imo.
I definitely agree. I'd want to avoid the 8/9 at all cost.

14 points in the entire 2nd half. The offense was completely pathetic and we gave up 2 technical fouls in the last few minutes which were essentially the difference in the result.

What are you 12? It's obvious you think Martin is good coach.Just because some people disagree with your assessment of Martin being a great coach (which he isn't).That's all you can do is be a smart***?

You call me 12 then use the most juvenile logic to assume I think Martin is a good coach? You don't even have any clue what you're talking about junior.

There's a world of difference in disagreement and people who do NOTHING but constantly whine about how bad Martin is and CONSTANTLY harp on how much they want Pearl back, and call themselves Vol fans yet only show up after we lose to again state how much they love them some Bruce Pearl.

If that's all you're going to do, then you're freakin' right I'm going to respond.

I disagree. At the time, the NCAA would have absolutely hammered UT for keeping him after giving him a 3 year show cause

Really? USC did a LOT worse and only got a 2 yr postseason ban...Frank Haith and Miami did a LOT worse and got practically nothing...we would have gotten MAYBE a 1 yr ban with Pearl...we have had 2 and possibly a 3rd yr ban with CCM...

We scored 14 in the second half. We were "cold" for more than two minutes.

Yeah i was talking late in the game when vols needed to make baskets going down to final minutes.
other than mccrae three vols then ran into a brick wall

We didn't make the tourney with him running point while he was here. We're in the tourney this year(more than likely) w/o him........

Fair enough, you make a good point. U.T. didn't need a ball stopping point guard this year, and that was Golden's thing. I humbly retract my post.:focus:

I for one will be glad the tourney is no longer in the Atlanta Dome. Domes are hard to shoot in and the rims there seem really tight. UT has never shot well there and as a matter of fact , since 1998 our football team has pretty much laid an egg there every time they play as well. Good riddance to the Dome! They are tearing it down anyway which is a good thing.

So, what did USC and Miami both have in common? The offending coach no longer coached at the school the following season.

And they still got hammered...we didnt...so that says we probably wouldn't have with Pearl staying or only 1 yr like I stated...thanks for proving my point

You are wrong. Golden is not a PG. He is slow and checked out mentally at times. He is not the answer. Yes, we need a PG but not Golden.
