Why are people surprised? We had zero development on the o-line last year, and we got blown out by Mizzou and Vandy. Pruitt is not the answer. It’s obvious that he does not develop players.
When was the last time a TN team played with any sort of confidence? Seriously, I'd like to know. Feels like I've gotta go all the way back to Dooley for that.
Every team in the nation will walk into Neyland feeling like they "got this". Doesn't matter if they are a 2-10 team. VOLS strike fear into no one. Hell, we can't even get respect much less fear.
Still waiting to see how Pruitt's defensive brilliance plays out because I'm not seeing a hint of it.
That Pruitt interview tells me that he and the team are playing to not get injured of course very vanilla. I will be worried if we play like this next week.
Offense hasn’t been the issue (other than the turnover). We’ve scored on 3/5 possessions. Allowing Georgia state to have a 7 minute drive is the issue.
Why do we always play conservative? Every season. No matter who the coaching staff is. Same story.
Why? What's so hard about playing to win? Why do we always play to the competition? Why didn't we go for it on 4th and 1 earlier? Why were we playing to run out the clock with over 2 minutes left before halftime? Luckily JJ broke free and ran for yardage to put us in scoring range.. Jeeze. 2 min to go and you were just going to take it to halftime against a nobody? Are you kidding me??!
If we can't get stops on third down this one is gonna be close. Other than the turnover we've did a good job of moving the ball 32 plays and 219 yards.
