All they have have to do is look outside and then at a radar. There’s lighting popping off everywhere and now it’s a downpour. Just call it and stop leaving people in limbo, we know it’s not getting played. How stupid are the officials in Hattiesburg? They’ve been meeting for 35 minutes and there is still no decision. You have all of the info in front of you. Make a decision.
Actually if we do idealized time zones based on degrees from Greenwich with no adjustments for political boundaries, I think the boundary between Eastern and Central would be 90 degrees West longitude, putting Knoxville squarely in Central TimeThere's a reason the University of Tennessee is in the Eastern time zone. And it's not just cause central sucks.
If the game gets pushed to tomorrow, do they also play game 2 tomorrow as well.
That just doesn’t match up well with solar time though. Almost all of Tennessee should fall in GMT-6 CST based on sidereal time. Nashville at GMT-5 EST would have terribly late sunsets and depressingly late sunrisesI always thought it would’ve made more sense to shift the ET/CT border westward to put metro Nashville, Alabama, and all of Florida on ET. It takes a sharp east/west bend through Kentucky which just looks weird
They need all teams in Omaha by Thursday at the latest, preferably by Wednesday. I can’t stop thinking we’re gonna get screwed by this ruleI highly doubt if the weather keeps acting like this all weekend that they can’t change the rules. The NCAA makes the rules so nothing is stopping them from tweaking them for exceptional circumstances.
