They should go ahead and switch it. This is beyond stupid. What is next? ESPN can't cover the game because they don't have room for their equipment? Also, is the weather still going ot be bad?

Apparently a USM communications person in the comments said that 247 was offered two credentials, but it is standard practice for only one to be in the press box. They offered Wes the chance to watch it in the over flow section on a TV lmao. They seriously want 247 to fly a media member down there to just watch it on TV. That’s pretty funny.

I'll be glued to the ESPN networks watching all their Super Regional coverage.

I think we'll see the same pitching rotation and this is when the depth of our pitching staff will be an advantage again (especially in the likely event of weather delays). I'm curious to see whether or not we can play a clean game defensively again this weekend. The USM lineup is a veteran one that hits hard and makes a lot of hard contact. They thrive on doubles. If we play defense like we did at Clemson we will be fine.

Another thing I'm curious about is how our lineup approaches the USM ace, Tanner Hall. According to Coach V, he takes advantage of "overzealous" hitters, so our lineup will have to be patient. If we can outlast and win against Hall in Game #1, I feel better about winning game #2. I also hope no one on our team gets too chirpy and thrown out of a game by the umps. The Hattiesburg crowd will be keen on turning the park into a viper pit and will try to get under our guys' skin.

SIAP.
Does anyone have insight into parking at USM Baseball? There appears to be nothing on their website about parking or prohibited/allowed items, and the ticket office is either not answering the phone or is swamped.

Lots of free parking within a 5 min walk. Large parking lot next to stadium fills up pretty quickly.

Eric Cain said on a Locked On Vols podcast that he did not want to make a 7.5 hour drive to Hattiesburg to cover this regional so Southern Mississippi took him off the hook.

You hung out with “No Fun Tim” the contracted usher? He ran us off from those seats at the start of the second Charlotte game because those tickets were sold, despite NOBODY from Clemson showing up to use them. I kept calling him “No Fun Tim” every time he ran someone else off and he threatened to throw me out. I can only imagine him going to a campus officer and trying to get me removed and when they ask what’s he doing he says, “he called me No Fun Tim”.

Is that campus spaces that are not monitored on weekends, or is that actual baseball parking that is labeled? It sounds like you described something in addition to the adjacent lot.

But they have a BIGGER PRESS Box! I just think it is funny that the better facilities, including Press Box is what some have been pointing out is one of the reasons why they were selected and then we have this.

Like a lot of places for big events, they only grant one media credential per outlet for press box. 247 got one credential but a 2nd credential would be in overflow area w TV.

Yep. He was a bitter Clemson usher/fan. I had tix there on Fri. i saw you conversing with him but didn’t know it at the time. Waitress would have been a lot happier if he’d let y’all stay there. 🍊👍😀👊😃🍊😃

We tried to sit there on Sunday. I started off polite with him and asked if we could try a few innings once nobody showed up and he said no cause they pay a lot to keep people out of their seats. When he got smart with me I got back at him and then walked off. Then the No Fun Tim moniker started. When I saw him move a random 5-7 yr old girl for standing a foot over the white line on Sunday I decided to leave the area cause I was going to be thrown out at that point.
