It feels pretty lame that USM isn’t even offering local Tennessee media guys a place to watch and cover the game. I highly doubt Tennessee would be limiting the number of press spots in the press booth if USM was coming to Knoxville. This is just dumb.

But they have a BIGGER PRESS Box! I just think it is funny that the better facilities, including Press Box is what some have been pointing out is one of the reasons why they were selected and then we have this.

Given that the series' narrative will be that their coach is retiring, that newspapers and networks all across Mississippi will likely be covering it (but otherwise wouldn't be), and that news coverage expands tv viewership... yes, capacity of the press box would rightly be a major consideration for the NCAA.

But c'mon BaseVol fans--would they be so focused on giving their coach his rightful due this weekend if they expected his team to still be playing in the next round?

They may be bowing to honor So.Miss coach Scott Berry... but their hats are tipped to Vitello's Vols to still be playing.

We tried to sit there on Sunday. I started off polite with him and asked if we could try a few innings once nobody showed up and he said no cause they pay a lot to keep people out of their seats. When he got smart with me I got back at him and then walked off. Then the No Fun Tim moniker started. When I saw him move a random 5-7 yr old girl for standing a foot over the white line on Sunday I decided to leave the area cause I was going to be thrown out at that point.

Funny story. I sat there (Bullpen Balcony) on Friday night but had different seats for Sun. I sat there anyway on Sun bc I liked them so much. When “No Fun Tim“ tried to run us all off, I used the “Jedi Mind Trick” and told him that I had 2 seats there. He asked to see them and I tried to show him Fri’s tix but they are were gone from my Apple wallet. I made up an excuse or two, and he told me that I’d have to square things away at the ticket office. I asked him if that was really necessary, and reminded him that I sat there on Fri and told him that Johnny Clemson Donor had told me that I’d be treated right (OK I name dropped like a dirt bag), but it worked. He told the waitress to take care of us. A couple of innings later when it was obvious Tim wouldn’t relent, I told one of the Dad’s how to get those tix at a discount, so he and a bunch of kids joined us. It was a lot more fun after that! I bet he wouldn’t have run any Clemson fans off on Sun night! Lol.
