Moving the game up would make sense. But it absolutely isn't fair to base the decision on who hosts on the weather forecast. They can still play in the rain.

With everything else virtually even with Vols having slight edge on SOS & RPI & USM having edge on SRO Tickets, then I think the weather should be the deciding factor.
It isn’t fair if one teams resume’ far outweighs the other. That definitely wasn’t the case. JMO

The NCAA doesn’t comment on much at all, so there is no reason to think anyone would ever know. But I do will give some on here credit- the weather was discussed on Monday, and the forecast was for the mid south and gulf coast to have a pattern of strong storms. This isn’t a surprise.

So…wouldn’t common sense say to at least consider moving the games up to Friday? Just no common sense.

Orrr start trying to get the games played on Friday at noon AND expect after noon showers.

BTW, I doubt there will be a chance to play any more tonight until 10PM EST. If I were making that decision, I'd play as much as possible past 10PM. Then, I'd move up the time as early as possible for tomorrow to finish game one and play game two immediately after.

Sunday forecast looks much better, particularly if they could start at 9AM

I’ll also add this, as I await my grandma’s sampler at Cracker Barrel… I had said earlier in the week that USM had the advantage in facilities. I officially rescind that after being here. This isn’t a swipe at their stadium, but rather an acknowledgment that Lindsey Nelson is as nice, if not nicer than Pride Park. It’s nothing but metal bleachers, even the facade is metal. It looks like a shipping container. Their SRO environment is legit and their fans have been super , but LNS is better.

They sure are effective at using the weather delay as a weapon. Every time we get something going they stop play. You can't tell me it would have made one bit if difference it they let the current batter finish his at bat before the delay. That is icing the batter and they have done it twice so far. I hope someone is taking notes.
