I’ll also add this, as I await my grandma’s sampler at Cracker Barrel… I had said earlier in the week that USM had the advantage in facilities. I officially rescind that after being here. This isn’t a swipe at their stadium, but rather an acknowledgment that Lindsey Nelson is as nice, if not nicer than Pride Park. It’s nothing but metal bleachers, even the facade is metal. It looks like a shipping container. Their SRO environment is legit and their fans have been super , but LNS is better.

It’s a glorified HS park and the truck tailgating says as much. It holds more due to SRO and that’s all it has going for it. The concession facilities are terribly inadequate, poorly placed and inefficient, especially given that half the stadium brings their own food and drinks. They think State and OM look down on them? Well it’s deserved.

They sure are effective at using the weather delay as a weapon. Every time we get something going they stop play. You can't tell me it would have made one bit if difference it they let the current batter finish his at bat before the delay. That is icing the batter and they have done it twice so far. I hope someone is taking notes.

First time, was a complete joke. Second delay, you could see the flash of lightning from the stands. Ironically, USM fans here in the restaurant are complaining the delay was the ncaa trying to let TN regroup and to force USM’s pitcher out of the game. Perspective is always two-sided.

One thing is for certain, Danny White needs to be working the permitting process like an Italian mobster in the 1960s. We have to get Vitello his baseball cathedral built that he has earned. Knoxville should never lose out on a bid to an armpit like Hattiesburg because the corrupt NCAA thinks our “facilities” aren’t good enough. Our guys were just slumming it under metal bleachers during the first lightning delay like it was 12U travel ball.
