That is a highly exaggerated comparison.
The only relatively fair comparison would be to compare how they both fared against common opponents ... I think the only team is Alabama ... and Wake Forest held Alabama to fewer rpg (4.5) than LSU (7.5) did. Wake's pitching appears to be better. More SO per game, Less hits per game. On paper Wake is the better team!!! I want to face and beat the better team ONCE. I say the stats are better to play LSU twice.
If they are better than Skeens forget about it. Notice in the LSU game as soon as they pulled him UT started hitting.
Odds are good if he had not pitched Tennessee gives a better game, possibly wins.
Anywho I would love to send the corn dogs packing

Probably Lyndsey Wednesday start back to the beginning. Lyndsey has been really good, just a bad start on the big stage. He has that out of the way now. But they will pitch the best that feels good enough to go.
I was saving Lindsey for Thursday, and then you go. Burns, Doe, Beam for the Natty.

This is just a random thought ... but I miss the old aluminum bats whenever I'm watching the CWS now.

I remember the 80's when the CWS was played at Rosenblatt Stadium... and it was basically Homerun Derby. I specifically remember a game between Arizona State (had Oddibe McDowell and Barry Bonds) and Oklahoma State (with Pete Incaviglia and Robin Ventura) which finished with a score of something like 18-16 .... it was pure offense back then. The pitchers actually have a chance now ... which kinda sucks. LOL

I’m a baseball fan, so I like pitching.

Skenes is literally the best college pitcher ever.

Burke turned towards second, the first baseman stepped in his way. The umpire gave Burke 2nd because he blocked him, even though Burke didn't try to advance he only turned left.
If Burke had turned right after touching first it wouldn't have mattered, unless he made an attempt to go to 2nd also.
Thank u sir. I could never figure it out, and I didn't ever hear the announcers figure it out either. Much obliged. GO VOLS

I'd like to see CTV consider inserting Dreiling in right field to start the next game. C Scott is really struggling and I think Dreiling deserves a shot.

Scott is in there in large part for defense. He’s also a team leader. If the decision were being made based purely on hitting, I bet Dreiling would’ve started a long time ago. But I wouldn’t complain if TV tried it.

I’m looking forward to Dreiling and Tears as full time starters next season.

They have a lot of options. Great problem to have. The coaches will get the best feel of each pitcher they would rather have start . Just got to have all hands on deck. Short on rest usually means short stints next outting. We got just as good or better chance tomorrow as anyone.

The thing is, our guys pitch counts have been relatively low. Im not really worried about how many options we have, I know we have to get there, but im trying to set us up for Saturday.

Eh ... Roger Clemens of Texas threw 35 consecutive scoreless innings during the 1982 post-season, including the CWS ... and that was against the old "live" bats. He threw every bit as hard as Skenes. Maybe, you are too young to remember him though?
