He missed 2 with Cortez. But I must say his fastball has more movement from any pitcher that I’ve seen in college. In addition, he missed more on both sides. He struggled from the start. Hope tonight’s plate umpire is the best the NCAA has to offer. In general, college umpires are very inconsistent with strike/ball calls with what I’ve witnessed this year.I’d love to know how many strikes he missed or just refused to call, on that right side of the plate?!
Tony joked that he said he’s available. No, Combs is done, Tony wont send him in there to possibly get him hurt.
I agree--- but yeah, with this literally being the last game of the season and having all that time off, I bet Combs wouldn't hesitate a second to walk out there for an inning or two and cook... This game is what every single kid on our team dreams of growing up!Tony joked that he said he’s available.
The cautiousness with arms is commendable but most coaches, and players too, will throw that to the wind to win a title. It’s harder with agents being involved now, but it’s still 8/10 guys would beg to get in the game even if their arm would fall off.

Let's worry about that tomorrow....So what is our pitching situation next season? Has there been any info of us picking up another pitcher in the portal? We are seeing in Omaha that having pitching depth is key (Duh), and we don't have the horses on the mound that we had (Russell out for so long)... Can you imagine having Joyce still in the bullpen?
new dylan videos frpm his current tour have been postedWhat the hell am I supposed to do for the next 23 1/2 hours.
going to be one hot day in Omaha but it still a glorious one for a Vol W for win #60, now go get that W. Bring that trophy to Knocksville.
