I figured I might as well go ahead and start up this thread since the draft starts on Thursday (....[sigh] dammit Goodell)

Locker. Personally, I would take Julio Jones.

I'd be okay with Locker. Personally, If Patrick Peterson is off the board (which im sure he will be) I'd take Prince Amukamara. We are lacking at the CB position opposite of Cortland Finnegan and that would provide an instant upgrade.

I'm going to wager that the change was ESPN driven.

It was a Goodell driven move. Several interviews after their spring/summer meetings (the two years before the change) had him talking about how he wanted to make it a primetime event starting on a weekday

(Guy hadn't liked the original draft format, though, which became obvious in the first year)

But I followed the news through the change process though

they do have to do a somewhat best available, especially if Locker's not the choice

someone like Amukamara would really help at the CB position

Schefter is reporting that the Eagles want to trade up. I wonder who we've got our eye on?

Who do you think the Titans go after with their first pick?

I'd guess Locker at this point.

What's interesting though is some word recently about Arizona heavily weighing trading down...that could very well lead to a situation where Gabbert might viably end up as an option come 8

Jake Locker seems the primary suspect. Personally I have no problem taking Locker at #8. If the coaches and the front office think he is "the guy" for a franchise we might as well take him high instead of risking him not being there.

With all the teams needing a quarterback this year trying to trade down or trade back into the first round is entirely to risky IMO.

Locker is not a franchise QB

Can you tell me who'll win the Super Bowl too?

Agree. The Titans already gambled on a QB that could run better than throw.

That may be but Locker is at least willing to work hard at trying to make his game better. By all accounts he has good character, a great teammate, a leader, hard worker, etc.

I'm ready for the constant value trading by CBB. He has too many picks at his disposal.

titans will make an idiotic choice yet again and take some lineman or a defensive player... well just sayin it helps to have a QB to put points on the board.

I'm thinking Philly is trading up to address their secondary or defensive line issues

They shut up because they came to the realization that they are retarded. It was total idiocy to assume he wouldn't go in the first round.

I really dont think Fairley will turn out to have a great career. I am by no means an expert, I just dont think he will pan out. Dareus on the other hand will be pretty successful imo.

Nick Fairley, to me, looks like a future Albert Haynesworth clone. Dominant when he tries. Almost non-existent the rest of the time.
