Bruce Pearl overated??? Before Bruce Pearl came to Tennessee I had only watch about 2 Tennessee basketball games in my life because the games were like pulling nose hairs out.

I, for one, am completely happy being nationally relevant. We were HORRIBLE before Bruce, and at least now we compete. This team can only get better if you ask me. If Bruce can manage to recruit big men who aren't inexperienced and have to be taught we'll be in much better shape in the future.

I can't believe these people come out of the woodwork to makes rediculous comments like this. Where was this post when UT beat Georgetown? Probably the same place they'll be if they thump Gonzaga. Some of you people honestly must have a horrid personal life.

I was a Tennessee bball fan through the Green years when we made some good runs & i stuck with the boys during the Peterson years when we were horrific. I remember those days, nobody showed up to the games unless it was Kentucky. Id turn on the tv and see blots of empty seats everywhere! I would take Bruc Pearl over any of those two any day, but i will say this Pearl has ALOT of growing to do as a coach ALOT!!! The man is a GREAT recruiter, but he is a halfway decent coach. This team has NO heart NONE. The past 3 teams with Bruce were tired of losing & gave it everything they had every night. Until these group of kids learn what heart is we will keep winning close games against teams were suppose to kill & keep getting embarrased by teams that are better than us!

It took them getting embarrased to show it. A team that has true character & heart comes out from the opening tip & shows it!

I agree that they never gave up. I think they have heart, but I think that this team lacks a player that has been overlooked in the basketball world like a Bradshaw or J. Smith. I think they play hard, but the laziness on defense is a concern.

The biggest problem I see is that the energy and feeling of urgency doesn't occur until too late into the second half. If Bruce could find a way to get these kids to play like it's their last game on earth from the word go, our 37% shooting percentage wouldn't be so bad.

If Tennessee had gone to Kansas 6 years ago they would've lost by 30+. I think its great that we took a really young team, got down by 15, and fought back towards the end into Kansas. I expect to lose a couple more games this year, but what Bruce Pearl has done for this program is much bigger than 1 loss in one of the most hostile environments in basketball. Just my opinion though

So to the TC....are you saying you want Buzz Peterson back? Or maybe Jerry Green? Both of them are very available, and for good reason.

no offense but as if your other posts weren't bad enough, you said Prince was good. considering Prince plays NO defense and takes TERRIBLE shots, please tell me what he's good at other than crying to the refs on every call and snow birding down the court so he can get a dunk

Pearl has raised expectations..........so now a lot of fans think we're Duke or something. Bruce has advanced our program light years from where it was. This years team has talent that hopefully will gel down the stretch, but personally I didn't think we'd be great this year.
