I'm still not convinced he touched first. I guess you can't beat the touch pad system they have though. Damn that was close.

I can't believe that. I never thought I would be jumping up and down for not one, but two swimming races in my life, much less two in a week

That was crazy. If the race had been a foot longer or a foot shorter, Phelps probably loses. The wall was in exactly the right place where he hit it right in midstroke, while the other guy still had do a sort of half-stroke to reach out after his last stroke, and that's what killed him. Amazing. It's like winning a footrace because you timed it so that you hit with your left rather than your right at exactly the right moment.
