Our current neighborhood was the one by Houston High that got hit in Winter of 94....

We came through a pretty heavy storm coming out of Florida. Raining so hard people were down to about 30mph for a little bit.

One of the worst rain storms I have ever driven in was driving back to DC from Disney world in ‘96. Most pulled over to the shoulder, those that continued driving were going 10-20mph.

Couldn’t really see anything past the hood of my car.

Just heard possibly a tornado back home. Trees down everywhere, power out, repirts of possible small one

Had one that started a couple of miles from my Dad's house in N. AL on Saturday night/Sunday morning and went through town. Didn't do a whole lot of damage but knocked power out downtown and it's still out far as I know.

Extensive tornado damage to Athens downtown square will take days to clean up

An assessment suggests the twister had wind speeds of 100 mph.

We have a small amount of ice on the trees and power lines, but it has been steadily raining for several hours now and the rain is sopposed to continue for a few more hours. The snow is supposed to start around midnight. We lost power about a half hour ago. Wifey is already in panic mode. We have a gas cookstove and a small gas fireplace so I am not terribly concerned. Yet.
