Wait til it freezes up tonight....

The ice was a big issue last year because TDOT didn't treat their roads in Shelby County and the snow refroze as ice

Given that several suburban mayors and FedEx publicly complained last year, it might not be as bad even with more precip this yr....

You wont see impassable main roads 72 hrs after the event if I were to guess

We’re just lucky the temps in the daytime aren’t going to be in the teens and twenties.

WE ran I-75 up to Evansville, IN and spent hte night there. Got up next morning to head west...car was literally half buried in snow drift. One side and over the top could not see. Get to Lincoln and riding around town sight seeing and browsing housing the snow is like 3 feet deep and they just snow blow all hte sidewalks and stuff. At roads edge you can't even see over the snow to the sidewalk. Don't know if that was a normal winter or what, but he stayed at UGA. Which was good, cause two years later he was put in charge of the Peanut CRSP USAID program as Director run through the university and got a healthy raise.

Easiest way to decide if you want to move to the Great Plains area is go in mid winter.

A buddy of mine is from Palestine TX and got into the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs. He had never seen more than a light dusting of snow. His dorm room was on the second floor and he said one night it started snowing and when they got up in the morning you could lean out his window and touch the snow. Holy cow.
