he had Tiger style game with none of the mental strength. In fact, he was even a much better driver of the ball.

it's amazing he spent so long at #1 and failed to cash in when it counted so many times.

1. I never said anything about his leading or not leading.
2. I never asked you to pull for him.

yeah, it's brutal.

Duval is +11 thru the 11th hole. welcome back to earth buddy.

I remember an interview with Duval a few years back, while playing mini golf. He has no idea what the hell happened, but is a good enough sport to get a laugh out of his sudden loss of golfing ability.

on a side note, has anybody ever used the putters with the big ass grip on them?

i don't know how long guys have been using them, but i'm noticing more and more of them. for some reason, they bother me.

Looks like hopes of an American victory rests on the shoulders of Ben Curtis. I guess he'll sport the NY Giants tomorrow in hopes of pulling off a similar against-the-odds victory?

I really thought Furyk was going to be a contender - and then he appeared to play blind folded on the back 9 today.

i don't know. that's why i said "for some reason" and asked a question about the grip.
I don't use anything close to what KJ Choi uses, but I went to an oversized grip about a gear ago and it really helped.

My hat is off to him for holding up in adverse conditions. Maybe not caring is what Norman needed to do all along.

Glad to see he held up today. With Tiger out, I can't imagine TV and The BO could have created a much better story if they had tried. This gives me something to rush home from church tomorrow and watch. Hope the old guy brings it home tomorrow.

In a strange sort of way it is fitting. Greg Norman is really the last guy not named Tiger Woods to be ranked #1 in the world for any significant length of time back in '96-'97.

I'm kindof bummed about Duval crashing. I was looking forward to a duval-norman showdown....talk about a twilight zone moment.

It's good TV, and the weather makes it even more entertaining

I hated to see that also. For some reason I have always pulled for Duval.

did you read the story about him in golf digest a few months back? Nike seems to have been really great with the whole deal. I suppose that there isn't much for them to do because of the contract, but they seem to be ok with him not bouncing back.
