The Opening 2014: Presented by Nike

Lots of guys we are in on in this video.

Some notables.

P.Williams
Jefferson
Mook Reynalds
Duke Shelley - Didnt look so good
Rico McGraw

theres a bunch of other guys we're recruiting

Williams straight abused all of those DBs. Even his drop would have been at least 5 yrd penalty on the defense. I didn't like his body catch on his first route though

I've never had a problem with the body catch. As long as you bring it in is all the matters to me. I understand that it is bad technique and you need to practice catching with the hands in order to raise your probability of catching the ball in a game. Yet many body catches are made for First Downs and TDs on both College Football Saturdays and NFL Sundays. I say, "Just catch the damn ball".

I get what you're saying there, I just don't like a player to body catch regularly. Because the ball can pop off the pads and get intercepted. But he did very well.

He owned Pettibon and Warmack. Those 2 better get use Khalil wrecking ish up front.

Cowart and McKenzie looked the best.

Hyatt shouldn't be a 5*. Matthew Burrell should be though. He looked fantastic. Richmond looked ok.

I loved watching Pettibon get wrecked by Khalil. Especially when a coach caught his offside.

Agreed. On the other catches his hands looked soft and he brought the ball in with ease.

It just me or did Trent Irwin look really good in that video?

Agreed. I thought he stood out as an excellent receiver.

I also loved the guy who said about PW, "he even had time to pull his pants up"... PW looked very crisp on getting past the defender at the line on most of the snaps. Dis gon be good. Can't wait for him to get to Knoxville.

Agreed, I just hate body catches on one on one drills with no pads on. But the rest of the catches were sick, and his separation was great.

It also negates his biggest advantage (height and length) by catching the ball into his body. Still just an incoming HS senior, he can work on that and it is very correctable.

@jeremycrabtree: Kyler Murray and TE Will Gragg are becoming quick friends. The TE has been open a number of times in the middle. #TheOpening

@jeremycrabtree: #Aggies DB commit Justin Dunning comes up big with INT if Ricky Town. Very good read on ball by Dunning. #TheOpening

@SBNRecruiting: Through two days, if I could sign any non-qb from @TheOpening2014, it would be Kahlil Mckenzie. That much body shouldn't move like that.

@HamiltonESPN: #ESPN300 WR Van Jefferson with 1 hell of a leaping TD catch on a dart from #ESPN300 No. 89 Sam Darnold. #TheOpening

@jeremycrabtree: QB Sam Darnold showing why he's hottest recruit at position in country. Leads team down field for TD w/ surgeon's precision. #TheOpening

@ScoutKennedy: And that's #2 for Justin Dunning with 2 INTs... #tamu #theopening #gigem

^^ that's 2 picks already for Ricky Town

So I'm watching The Opening tonight and they show some of the nation's top team recruiting rankings and we are not even shown on the list...no mention of any of our high-profile commits or strong possibilities in attendance....ESPN hates us.

Watching the replay online. Sheriron Jones (UF QB commit) looks bad. Josh Smith (Vandy LB commit) is better in coverage than I expected.
