Those are the sexiest jerseys that I have ever seen. I'm getting one of my guns (PMR or PM5) anno'd orange and then getting the power T laser engraved on the side, that would be the perfect match for a gun display. Maybe I could get Animal Paintball to make a replica jersey if I designed it like that... I donno.

I saw a Drexel jersey on PBN a couple months ago, I think they wanted $300 for it... lol. Some of those rare jerseys go for outrageous prices. XBall jerseys average expensive... I would love to own a "nations" XBall jersey, though.

I played my first day of speedball at my local field last night. Mad fun and I realized that I'm a hell of a lot better than what my friends make me out to be. It was fun and I'm definitely going to probably ditch the woodsball.

Speedball is fun but more expensive thats for sure. Work on snap shooting and shooting while running and it will be even more fun once you get those down. Normally the best speedballers are the best snap shooters.

I'm okay at snap shooting, not the best at shooting on the run, though. I'd rather just get to where I'm going at as fast as I can. I am amazing at sliding, though.

Unless I am making a move into the snake, or a small dorito I always move with gun up. When I first started playing paintball some of the tourney guys told me to always keep your eyes downfield and gun up and learn to shoot while moving. At first I just worked on keeping my head up to see any of the other teams movements and realized there were so many opportunities of kills when I made my moves I quickly learned to get the gun up.

On break the only person for us who is not gun up is the snake. Always try to take the advantage on the break if possible. We dont normally go for big break outs unless we know the other team is not very aggressive which is rare.

If you think you enjoy speedball now more than woods wait till you get into the tournament scene. SO much more fun because its actually organized and you should have a decent team I would hope and none of the 8 year olds whos mom has bought them the best **** possible and they just hide behind home.

just shoot the entire game. Unless you're in the snake, if youre not constantly laying down ropes you aren't accomplishing anything. This isnt the military, no one shot one kill, you just have to get more paint in the air than the other guy.

I'll be playing on an actual air ball field tomorrow, I hope. That will be much more fun, i think.

I used to play a good bit, but I don't really have the time or money to play much anymore.

I liked woodsball the best. I just like the stealth like feel of it. I was pretty good at it. Speedball was fun too, it just takes way too much paint.

I definitely hate true woodsball after Sunday. I didn't see anyone for such a long time, that my PM5 turned off. There were 30 people in the game, too. It sucked. It's too hard to distinguish teams, also. I was relieved when I got back onto the speedball field.

Woodsball can be fun if you do it right. Just sending everyone in the woods and saying go at it does suck. I go and play with one of the local scenario teams occasionally and if they do something like capture the flag or bunker defense or just some kind of game where one team has to push the action, it is fun. I think its funny because they have their team and you can hear them talking on their radios and they are used to tippmans and when I cut lose on them they are freaking out and saying hes over here!! Usually its myself and one of my speedball friends and the kids of the scenario team, against the scenario guys. The two of us shoot so much damn paint and tear them up.

Well against VOLatiles suggestion in not getting the Ion I got one. Im very excited. Gonna go play some speed ball with a seasoned player that is a friend of mine back in south cackalaky next weekend. I will go ahead & say that I hate the trigger its a little to loose left to right than I would like. Does anyone know much about the adjustable triggers as far as pre & post travel. I know I want one with a bearing in it to take out most of the left to right slop but I dont know much more than that. I would also like to know which would be the better loader the Halo, Reloader B, or the Evultion III. Im not really sure about the belt drive on the Halo & the guy at the PB shop said that the Reloader B was on its way out (old tech). The Evultion has a terrible opening to fill. Thanx guys for the help with this noob.

If you are in Nashvegas what paintball store are you talking about? Action? N2 Paintball in Mt Juliet is the best one around imo, awesome people and you wont get the cold shoulder like you would at some stores.

Halo is good but I prefer a vlocity. I have a Pulse with chip, Vlocity and Halo with speed feed for sale! :p I think I may even have a Reloader B too somewhere lol.

If you want a trigger I would go with a CP trigger. The Ion I had, the first two things on it were a feedneck and a trigger. The gun is very easy to tech and its got a board that has all the modes you would need for now. It is a great starter gun, I still have the one I bought in the garage hehe. Make sure and put a QEV on it also to help with air because stock it can be a gas hog and the QEV will help with recoil some too. If you are near Hermitage at all I would definately recommend going to N2 and let James the tech there show you everything you can do with it. My Ion was his first and hes had a million since and has had some people brought in and completely went aftermarket on every thing but the internals.....coulda bought a new Ego for the price the dude spent on his Ion.

Be warned tho, alot of Ion haters out there and you will just have to ignore them. It is a decent gun and it will help you learn how to tech and move up to a better gun eventually. I wouldnt put too much money into it because your resale will be bad but heres a few I would do for sure.

1. Trigger
2. Locking feedneck, Qlock is my favorite.(make sure and clean the threads GOOD if it has a stock feedneck because SP gunks it up with loctite and you will strip the threads trying to put the new one in.)
3. QEV
4. BARREL
5. Firebolt

Other than that if it isnt one of the new ones I might do the body upgrade where you can pull the bolt out from the back.

Thanx Head. Ive been going to Elite Paintball in Smyrna they are close to my job. I have stopped in once @ N2, they are close to home. I talked to someone & he was very nice. They have more inventory @ N2 than Elite. Yeah I know about the haters & am not worried. All those suggestions for upgrades were just what I was thinkin. I did get the new Ion XE. My co-worker "stole" a used old model Ion. It had alot of upgrades & he got it for next to nothin. I know about the head ache & the love of the loc tite Im a diesel tech for construction equip. How much you want for the Vlocity or the Halo

Grats on getting your first speedball gun. As much as I hate the Ion, it's a decent gun. Just don't go dropping a crapton of money into it to make it run with the big boys. You can save that money and get a better gun or more paint.

Thanx Volatile. Yeah wont be puttin alot into it just a trigger, feed neck, QEV, & an on/off. Also some stuff to make it my own grip, drop down & a body. Much more than that Im wastin my money.

Make sure to try out a drop down before you purchase one. I feel they are a waste of money and add extra vertical distance to the gun. They're also very uncomfortable for a lot of players, not to mention the ugliness of the giant drops. I suggest the Empire Nano on/off. I just got one of these for my PM5 and I love it. Definitely a quality product and the rail system that Empire makes is ingenious.

Rule of thumb on a drop is take the tank on gun and fit it in your elbow. That is where it should go, drops are a pain and if you are aggressive can snap pretty easy. Plenty of on/offs that can adjust the length to suit your style.

Dunno what I would take for the hoppers really, vlocity that i would sell has been used maybe 10 trips and looks new, the halo has speed feed and new internals/board.Maybe 75 for the vlocity and 85 for the halo. I will throw you some pics later if you want to see them. Trust me you will want a new barrel for that thing very soon. Put a stiffi on it, but if you sale the gun later sell the stiffi seperate because they will hold value.

Good call on the drop down breakage. I think I may need more time behind what I have to make sure I want it or not. I used my buddies Ion with the drop down & liked it initially but prob need some more time behind that too. I found a halo at elite the other day & got it for 60. Ill check out the empire on off.

With a rail system, you can +/- 1.25 inches to the total length of the gun. I really suggest one, I'm not sure if the Ion comes with one or not. My PMR has a built in one, that I don't like because it uses a set screw to tighten down the ASA. The Empire rail uses ball bearings to tighten to the ASA, which leaves no marring on the ASA itself and no wearing.

I checked out that Nano. EFin sweet. There is a drop down that is just a block not like the CP drop downs. only drops maybe a half inch that bolts on cause the Ion doesnt have the dove tail rail but the other side for the ASA does have the dove tail rail. Which I think would be a +. So I could like you said slide the ASA to a good fit without much worry of the breakage mentioned earlier.
