1. That's the best win of the season. Tennessee brought more energy than anytime since the Pitt win.
2. There's not a better sound than silence in that lousy opera hall of a gym. Suck it, Vanderbilt.
3. Scotty Hopson is on by far the best roll of his career. He was the difference down the stretch.
4. Tennessee won despite Cam Tatum. He looks like an emaciated version of Renaldo Woolridge out there.
5. Steve Pearl was a major part of the win tonight. UT would been buried even worse in the first 30 minutes without him.
6. That should end all the bubble talk surrounding UT. They're in the tournament.
7. Scotty Hopson deserves some credit for his defense in the two Vanderbilt games. He held Jeff Taylor in check both times.
8. Brad Tinsley isn't going to lead you to anything of import in the postseason. Yet another team limited by their point guard play.
9. The Vanderbilt staff deserves kudos for their development of Festus Ezeli and Steve Tchiengang. Here's hoping UT's staff can do the same for Kenny Hall.
10. That's one to enjoy. Too bad it will get buried tomorrow.

the defense down the streatch was great, they started driving the last 5 minutes of the game and the refs actually called fouls. the 1st half they did the same. they could drive on these guys

What was your opinion on the officiating tonight?

I know we won, but it seemed like a lot of really bad calls in vandys favor

Great win tonight!

I can't even remember the last time Cam had a solid game...very very frustrating

Agree. Best thing about tonight's game (besides the win) is that we played our hind ends off.

Wasn't always pretty, but the effort was there.

Why is Goins play so inconsistent? He played very solid tonight, other nights he looks like he has no business playing point. Here's to hoping more games like this one for him going forward.

Very impressed by Hopson's play. Love the aggression and the ability to knock down the FTs in crunch time.

I thought the officiating turned in our favor after that horrible foul call on Pearl. It's like even Kitts knew that was awful.

Finally played to our strengths, rebounding and driving the ball. Scotty showed why he will make it to the NBA, and his drives these past few games have been a sigh of relief.
Goins, in all his stupidity, had a good game with limited mistakes.

10. I know about the letter and you're wrong. There was nothing unexpected.
Yeah, the media is just going to give UT a pass tomorrow. I'm sure they'll be showing UT-Vandy highlights instead of talking about the violations. It'll be a big love fest.

Personally, I thought the refs did fine. They missed a few calls, but who doesn't? Overall, I'm a lot more in favor of refs just letting them play and that's what they did tonight. It favors the aggressor and that was us.

Hopson has creeped his way into lottery status, IMO. Glad to see him step up, but he will be sorely missed next year.

Great, great comeback win for the Vols. Couldn't think of a team (or coach) I'd rather see it against. Ditto on the "suck it, Vandy" comment. Oh, well, at least there's football...oh...wait.

If Tatum could find his way out of his hole, and if Williams can play to his stature, and Goins can run the point with some degree of capability, this team might be one to reckon with come tourney time. A late-season streak would be huge.

Steven Pearl was a key reason we won this game. He played hard the whole time, forced turnovers and strived for the "w"

Hate Memorial Gym, so I love 2.

Cam Tatum continues to be MIA for about a month now. Scotty's forced his way into SEC POY discussion, although he's still quite a ways off from the top. Just hope this may be a late turning point that gets us going again and sends us to wins over MSU, SC, and Kentucky.

So hat, is this going to be yet another year where Vandy falls in the first round to another mid-major?
