(For Moderators I looked to see if this has been posted, if I over looked it please merge.)

{Test}

I run across a history guy on YouTube going over U.S. Presidents and it showed this test.
I'm not sure how accurate the test is in full, but I thought it would be a fun to see each others results and also brake down the questions ask in the test.
I know most of us don't see eye to eye on major things, but I bet those who do may not on a smaller scale.
I was hoping we could have a topic that dived into some of our out looks and have a rational discussion on stuff we agree/disagree with.
[Even though I know this is the political Forum and it want make it into the 2nd page]

I got:

Some questions that made me think was "Abortion, when the woman’s life is not threatened, should always be illegal."
I am religious, but I try to separate my religious feelings and my earth feelings. I think abortion is morally wrong, but its not me that has to morally pay for it.
Even though I feel its wrong, I don't feel like its my place to tell someone they can/can't have one. I do however don't think it should be government funded.
Only way I feel it should be paid for is if the mothers life is in danger, or forcibly raped. If you got knocked up because you couldn't be bothered to use protection
I don't feel my taxes should have to pay for it.

My favorite was "Some people are naturally unlucky."
I know this one is a fact. I see it every time I look in the mirror.

If we get enough people that wants to go do the test I may try to make a Volnation chart with our user names and where we are.

Edit: Because I am a dumb dumb for forgetting the test link.

I hate tell you but that says you are dead center in between libertarian and authoritarian.
Yes, right leaning. I really struggled with some of the questions. I was 50/50 on some free market things. I don't like monopolies at all, but damn I sure hate to see the feds get involved in anything.

I feel like they could redo the test and I'd end up left instead of right. When they ask:

"Is it OK to sometimes defy international law in war..."

And

"Do you agree with the statement "...each according to his needs...?"

Of course, I'm going to end up right-leaning with my responses, but if they asked "would you rather spend money on the border or on education?" I would have a left-leaning response. Libertarian fundamentals line up more with people's ideas of what's "right" but in practice, it's not really how people on the right behave, particularly politicians and pundits.

Not really what I expected. I have an issue with the format. Many issues are not "yes/no" issues. For instance, you could be asked "should the government be allowed to regulate pollutions produced by businesses?". Of course I do, but I also believe the government can go too far in regulation. There's a wide range between allowing businesses to dump chemicals in streams and what California's regulations are.

That first one you mentioned is an example of what I am talking about. Are we talking about violating the Geneva Convention, treaties, etc. or are we talking about violating UN resolutions?

And the "each according to his needs" one, is from communist dogma, so of course I am going to disagree with that.

Most right-leaning libertarians (even the rule of law ones): "F*** international law"

Me: "Is the law just?"

And Christianity.

I disagreed because I knew what the question was trying to do, but my faith upbringing includes the idea that we use all of our talents and abilities for the glory of God (including working hard here on earth) but we take care of God's creation - especially Imago Dei - as they need it.
