The Problems with Trans-ideology

I don't think I am deeply qualified nor does it take a deeply qualified person to figure any of this out.

What idea is that?
Actually, it does. That's why the discussion has shifted here after it was determined that the mouth breathers were wrong about Khelif's born gender. We're literally dissecting the initial wave of unqualified opinions, all of which from the same camp.

The idea? The notion that a certain type of woman must compete in female athletics. I can support HRT and GRS subjects being excluded from these sports. That makes sense. However, if someone is born a woman, and isn't testing positive for steroids, and meets testosterone levels accepted by professionals (this year versus last year), then maybe it's time to shut the **** up and let the physically inferior Italian woman lose to the ugly, but physically superior Algerian.

Yes it is. The IBA specifically didn’t say what their test was nor that she had XY chromosomes, that was just one guy editorializing separately as he also said people were “tricking” them, most of which is addressed in the post you quoted if you read it
This is the IBA rule for gender:

“Men/Male/Boy” means an individual with chromosome XY. For this purpose, the Boxers can be submitted to a random and/or targeted gender test to confirm the above, which will serve for the gender eligibility criteria for the IBA Competitions;

You are correct in that we do not know exact details of their specific test. But we do know they disqualified the boxer for failing their gender eligibility criteria which identifies the XY chromosomes as confirmation.

Disagree with the first part, its a very simple subject.

When did I say or imply any of that? Actually, I think I might have said the opposite or I don't know how I feel.

Ooof.

I’m denying it because it’s facts that she was born a woman. A woman with a rare condition isn’t a biological man 💀. That’s dumb as hell. The lady that loss loss because she boxed like a moron and exposed her face. Other women without this condition didn’t have a problem beating her in the last Olympics.

He is probably male which is what all this about, any other condition has nothing to do much of anything.

Like I said, even the chromosome stuff is generally hearsay and pretty suspect at that

I'd been wondering where Turbo would end up.

It's fine to question the validity of the IBA/WBC testing and what their association's president, Umar Kremlev claims. All the more reason to continue testing.

That reddit post was a whole lot of "Russia Bad", though. Corruption in Olympic boxing isn't endemic to Russia and by far precedes current gender issues.

Not just physically inferior but technically inferior, because what is this. Left her face wide open

And if the XY male in question has a functional uterus and vagina, and gives birth to a fertilized egg from another?

Did a man just give birth?

Sure. If you implant a fertilized egg and that man then keeps that embryo inside of him until viable, sure.

But that’s a much different thing that what is typically meant by terms like “birth”, “conception”, etc.

It’s more a modern technological miracle than it is a point in favor of calling this person a woman.

Only disputed by people who are soaking wet and continuing to question to existence of water.

No, just the reality. If you don't believe the IBA, that is fine, but others can believe it.... and believe their own eyes.

Science as you called it last page.

You're not making much sense.

If you have XY chromosomes, you’re male. That’s why most of them produce sperm and none of them produce eggs.

Because…they’re men.

You realize that, right?

Born. Female.

The born is not necessary. The fact of whether he is male or female is a disputed fact, in IBA he withdrew the appeal. The IOC can solve it by releasing the test results, they already know.

If the IOC wants to solve this, they can simple have third party verification of their testing and one could appeal... which is really what the discussion is.

The appeals were not taken because they are both males.

Its called disputed facts, the issue here... is they didn't dispute the facts with the IBA which would only require a simple third party verification to confirm.

He seems fine at this point.

I'm not sure what the issue is? If you are upset because a female is being branded a male that can be solved by releasing the test results with third party verification, and appeals process.

Honestly I don’t think the Olympics should test anyone (male or female) for testosterone, look at genitals, or do any testing other than chromosomal testing.

And if there’s a Y, you should only be allowed to compete in the men’s category

It's actually just you speculating and manifesting a narrative pulled out of your ass.

You are of course more than welcome to, but nothing happened to her. She turned a fifth place finish into a grifting career
It's kind of difficult to claim the was no impact on her and other female swimmers. Women lost opportunities because of this situation, even more felt uncomfortable.

Yes, she has gone political with it and built a platform on it. That doesn't take away from the impact, however small you feel it was.

There's a solution that doesn't involve taking away opportunities from women and giving them their spaces in athletics. It's a shame we've let politics get in the way.
