Doctors used to “recover” lost(false) memories from “victims”, that led to accusations against innocent people.

It was accepted science.

It stopped when the docs started getting sued for the harm they were doing.

The "False Memory Syndrome" stuff going in the other direction was largely a propaganda campaign from child abusers, so I have doubts about that being "accepted science"

There were multiple instances of “recovered memories” being found to be untrue.

An entire child care establishment accused of “satanic” abuse of children - all implanted by psychiatrists.
There was a famous case where a father won damages against a team of psychiatrists.

RMT is discredited now, but was once admissible in court.

Everybody who is being honest knows how BS this is. It's about ideology, not party. At least for non-partisans.

Dixiecrats left the party in the civil rights/womens rights era. They are the same people who are right-wing evangelicals now.



Yes, Republicans freed the slaves, but that party has almost nothing to do with today's party. We're in the other thread talking about how there are no D's like Jimmy Carter left...that was just 40 years ago. The parties change dramatically, while ideologies stay relatively unchanged.
