The shooter was crazy, clearly. Who knows why they snapped and went bananas with a rifle.

“The Manifesto” reportedly had detailed target assessments inside it. The shooter had evaluated multiple targets for security, hardenedness, etc - and then chose that school.

The manifesto was not suppressed to cover up some Trans angle.
The manifesto was suppressed because its contents would be devastating to the gun grab movement.

It seems you are just focusing on the things you prioritize though. Likewise she didn't create the manifesto to destroy the gun grab movement, nor did/does it's release.

Seems to me her trans identify was a key factor here. The manifesto were the ramblings of an emotionally unstable at best, mentally ill at worst young person. The identity, lack of connection with peers or feeling like an outcast and or loathing your place in society is a common denominator among virtually all mass shooters.

I think dismissing her identity given the circumstances is completely missing the mark.

It may not be the factor but it's one the biggest factors IMO.

Well you’ve made clear what you’re focused on here.

Of course she didn’t create the manifesto to destroy the gun grab movement - what a silly thing to suggest.

She was a crazy person. Crazy people do crazy things. She didn’t decide to shoot up a building “because trans”.

You’re focused on the shooter. Trying to understand why they did this. It’s because she was effing nuts.

I was referencing Law Enforcement’s continued suppression of the manifesto.

The “oh my god, trans!” herring is a very shiny bell that captures many.

For the record I don't think she did it because she was trans, I think that's a manifestation of her mental defect. A symptom of her illness.

Nothing shiny about wanting to understand why people do the things they do.

And before anyone starts on I do not believe all trans people are mentally ill. I believe there is a much higher rate of mental illness among them though.

So to try and make sure I have a clear understanding of your position...... you believe the police wanted this info withheld because it might be damaging to those who want to restrict gun rights?

I don't think you know many Nashville Metro officers then..........I do. I can assure you the majority are about as pro 2nd Amendment as they come. Know a couple with "Come and take it" tattoos.

I think they (the police) wanted it withheld as part of growing movement to deny attention seekers as much attention as they can.

I will also tell you there some very deep pocketed families with big Nashville money wanted to protect Vanderbilt and it's budding gender program as well. They have their name all over that university. And they had their names all over the effort to have this blow over and keep eyes off it as much as possible.

It certainly captured the family and friends of these folks dead victims.

Rank and file Metro police officers had absolutely zero to do with the decision to suppress the manifesto. Why on earth would they get a say lol?

Metro leadership wouldn’t even have the ability to suppress it.

The FBI weighed in and it was a Judge that sealed it.

A local judge affiliated with the same mega Vanderbilt donor family........ Who by the way through one of their large businesses deal with copyright law regularly.

Read their reasoning behind wanting to keep it sealed and the legal means by which they did it. This was Vanderbilts biggest generational donor. It only works because they are a private university.

The FBI wasn't the catalyst here, now maybe the FBI was in agreement it should be sealed.......... But this was local Nashville trying to limit Vanderbilt exposure to scandal.

I’m sure the trans community is responsible for most crimes in America. Oh wait, that’s not even close to being true. How stupid. If someone does something evil it has nothing to do with them being trans, gay, white, black, Latino. There’s just ****** people in this world
