The REAL Reason Why Ohio State Only Dropped 4 Places After Losing To Michigan

The 2 wins over UNLV are better than any of Indiana's wins, and their last second loss to Oregon was as close as anyone has played them. I don't mind them getting a bye at all, especially with Indiana and Notre Dame being the other 1 loss teams, both with worse losses. I don't even mind ASU getting the other bye, ultimately one of the trade offs for having a giant conference is you only get one bye no matter how good your conference is.
Yeah, I get it. I guess I am just saying that I think the whole B10 is overrated. Oregon is #1 because they’re undefeated (I know, duh) but, watching the B10 Championship, I wasn’t impressed with either team. If Georgia, or some other SEC teams played a their best, they would kill either of those B10 teams. Just my opinion, I know, everyone has one.😂

Big Ten teams playing only 3 OOC games, it’s hard to tell where they should go. LSU lost to USC but they beat UCLA, who both had losing records in the conference. Texas stomped a Michigan team that had nearly no offense. Wisconsin looked pitiful against Texas, but they also looked pitiful against the Big Ten. I don’t think the top of the Big Ten looks poor given that their games against these teams resemble the games they had with SEC teams, but I’ll be plenty happy if we show Ohio State to be paper tigers.

Yeah, I just can’t help but wander what any of those teams would do if they had to play an SEC schedule. 🤷🏻

In my opinion it comes down to the AD for Michigan being the top dog on the committee. If he penalized Ohio State more after their loss then it’s basically saying Ohio State beat a crap team, his team, which he won’t do. Plus the committee is overly interested in propping up their own, and other non SEC conferences because they need to draw interest from fans and more importantly recruits. It’s the same every year.

Plus I remember hearing a little while back that Knoxville is kind of a hard location logistically to bring in media/fans/and opposing teams.

Somehow, the “committee” values a home win over Indiana over one over Florida. I’d take Florida today over Indiana on any neutral field in America.

Sorta amazing they valued an 11-1 Indiana team over a 7-5 Fla team that was 2-5 vs the Sagarin top 30…this is what SEC Bias looks like..also a road win in happy valley clearly tops beating bama at home

Not even in the same league as far as a loss. Arkansas is a far better team; far worse environment.
Arkansas is a “far better team”? They lost to 3-9 OkSt team that went 0-9 in big 12; couldn’t win a big 12 league game but managed to beat Arkansas…how’d you decide they were far better than Michigan?

We were talking about ND losing to NIU. And yeah I think Arkansas has far more talent than NIU.

OSU is hosting because they have two wins against playoff teams.
The two playoff teams you are alluding to would have three or four losses each with a sec schedule . They would not be in the discussion about being in the playoffs much less hosting. I would take SC ,Ole Miss or Texas A&M against Indiana or Penn state.

Penn State looks like they belong but Indiana doesn’t imo.
