maybe but you don't take the chance and give UGA good field position after a good ST play

no the player was on the ground with a UT player standing over him

What was that one for on the kick off to start the game ? Clowney does that all the time WTH ?

I don't know which entrance/exit the refs normally leave the stadium by, but at the end of the game they sure did rush over to the GA sideline, and then left out of the exit right where the GA fans were sitting.

He and his crew are terrible. I'd like to know how many questionable calls his crew has made when an underdog almost upsets an SEC contender?

THE SEC contender always gets the calls...... It's all about the $$,$$$,$$$ in the SEC!!!!

That shouldn't have been a delay of game penalty on them on the punt, but I'll take it

There hasn't been a Ritter called UT game in the last decade where we got any breaks. It's BS. He doesn't even know how to call penalties the correct way. "Delay of game on the defense for stomping" :eek:lol:

I sat with my friend who is an LSWho fan. He said at the start of the game that UT was in trouble because it was Ritter's crew.

Murray had a clear intentional grounding that was not called.

Looked like GA had an illegal pick on the UT CB on the big gainer play on their final drive in regulation.

This in addition to the mistakes already called. Today was not quality officiating.

I agree on the intentional grounding call. That should have been an easy one to call.

The last 15 years have not been quality officiating. Call me whining all you want but the quality if officiating in the SEC does not match the quality of play and what is at stake. It is really sad.

If you watch a replay the call was on number 30, he was standing over the UGA player taunting him, the minute I saw it I thought well there is a 15 yarder for taunting. It was not for the slash move which by the way was number 34.

the taunting call was not for the "throat slash" but was for standing over a down player and actually taunting him

This. The TV announcers were wrong. It was #30 that stood over and taunted the talked player, not Reeves-Maybin.

I saw that but our player smacked the uga player on the side of the helmet. Not a taunt smack but a good play smack.pretty weak if you ask me.

No. It was called by the ref on the speaker as a penalty on #30. After R-M put the smack down tackle on him, #30 stood over him and taunted him. It's in the camera view and I happened to see it and wince before I knew they threw a flag.

That was actually a correct call believe it or not. If you noticed, our OL flinched b/c of it and a UGA player even pointed at him for it. That requires a false start penalty. BUT, since the defender made the threat of rushing, the rule protects the OL who flase starts and penalizes the defender who attempts to draw said false start.

It was accurate. And a huge game changer for us might I add.

There are probably 5 to 15 of these instances every week in the SEC without penalty!

It all depends on if the ref wants to call it or not. I can drive down a street and speed past a cop day in and day out, then one day a different cop is in position and he pulls me over.

Same infraction, different day, different cop, different result.

Same with questionable calls by refs.

I thought on the personal foul call the ref said "unnecessary roughness" on number 50. Did not have DVR so can't be sure.
