... if any of you are on FaceBook, there has been a group for some time, called, Football Fans Against Tom Ritter. So it's not just us who thinks he pulls calls out of his *&%%^.
(seriously, a short lateral wrist-pull across your chest is "taunting" but a backwards high-stepping for several yards is nothing????)
Ritter is one of the very worst, with possible exception of Alama Matthews, Vandy grad, who should NEVER be allowed to call a UT game.
another call that was blown was the ga defender continuing to tackle neal late in the fourth with his helment off.... am i not correct that you can not continue to make a play with your helment off in college now days?
no, you just have to come out for a play, unless the opposing team took it off of you
Loss of Helmet During Play. If a player loses his helmet (other than as the result of a foul by the opponent, like a facemask), it will be treated like an injury. The player must leave the game and is not allowed to participate for the next play. Current injury timeout rules guard against using this rule to gain an advantage from stopping the clock. Additionally, if a player loses his helmet, he cannot continue to participate in the play (in order to protect him from injury). Data collected during the 2011 season indicated that helmets came off more than two times per game.
The pass interference call was BS at the end of the game the defender had his eye on the football and was trying to make a play
