The Return Of Chris Jericho

I like GA's thinking. Personally, I blame the Harts for just about everything that sucked in wrestling between 1990-2000.

Yeah . . . I can't think of the name of it, but he started out with some sort of bodybuilder gimmick.

He was one of the Blade Runners along with Jim Hellwig (UW) managed by Eddie Gibert. They started as The Fredom Fighters (Justice and Flash) managed by Dutch Mantel. When they split Sting kept his BR name and JH went on to become the Dingo Warrior and then the Ultimate Warrior.

Correct. Hellwig was called Rock when he was a Blade Runner. That team was just further proof of the brilliance of the sorely missed Eddie Gilbert.

I'll never forget going to a house show sometime in the early 80s when I was around 10 years old and seeing Dirty Dutch Mantel. He was so disgustingly hairy that 25 years later I still remember that he was hairy.

Dutch was ahead of his time.....One of my favorite memories was when he was the Southeastern HW Champ...he came out in a handwritten T shirt which said I Hate The Southeast!

Gilbert does not get the credit he deserves (in ring or behind the scenes). Jim Ross still makes the hotshot call till this day.

Eddie's legacy is sullied by two things. One, he was insane enough to marry Missy Hyatt. Two, he walked out on everyone he ever worked for. Hot Stuff was wrestling's version of the "tempermental artist." That said, if it weren't for his work in getting the old Easten Championship Wrestling off the ground, there never would have been an ECW. Also, he was as good a rival as Lawler ever had in Memphis.

Yes. If Bret weren't so utterly devoid of personality, Vince wouldn't have had to push Luger.

:eek:lol:

I hated Bret Hart.

One of the best things I remember about him was the Austin - Hart submission match on Wrestlemania 13. Lawler making fun of Stu and Bret's daughter were classic. And the match kicked ass too

It was truly a rough fued when Bret when to WCW and attempted to fued with Flair.

That was a complete meltdown, not even Flair could save that fued.

Though I did find it funny when Bret lead the new NWO. He had the fake bruises and the crap in his mouth to make his jaw look swolen!

That was classic!

The whole Luger tour bus led to one of the funniest Austin-Jim Ross exchanges ever a few years later. Apparently, Ross was the "mastermind" of that awful angle. Austin, after 3:16 had started to explode, came down to ringside and told Ross he was going to go to Calgary and whip Stu Hart's a$$. That led to this dialogue:
Ross: "That's a stupid idea."
Austin: "You're right. Here's a good idea. Why don't I paint me up a school bus, ride around the country, and whoop everybody's a$$. That's a great idea, isn't it JR?"

I must be really tickled or slap happy, but that is really funny stuff!
