The Road To The 2010-11 SEC Title Runs Through Lexington.

He's simply not the dominant player some claim he is and his father is almost as big a jackass as Lance Stephenson's.

You would start shaking the family tree on our top5 player to give us some negative spin on him. His dad is crazy? For real, hat? Was his mother a prostitute too? When are you going to admin the wonderlick?

Ask Marquette how much fun it has having a stage father around your program. Cincinnati will be glad to give input on that, too.

I have heard several comparisons between Harris' father and Stephensons, as far as their similarities. Though, I'm not that informed on the situation.

It does seem to be a concensus though that Harris is smarter and more well rounded than lance.

Don't think there is any question that his father will be very involved. Hopefully, he is good enough and gets enough playing time that he will have little input.

I'll not pretend to know how BP+ Co would/have handled situations like your describing. I'd bet he seen a few dad's like that in his day. And I'd bet he has "his" way of dealing with it. Mr. Harris will be happy to see his son will be starting, no?

You'd have thought 30+ minutes a night and a complete freedom to shoot all you want would have made Stephenson's dad happy. You'd have thought the opportunity to play big minutes as a freshman on an NCAA Tournament team would have been enough to shut up Papa Maymon. Expecting rational behavior from men living vicariously through their sons probably isn't a smart call.

I'm not denying there is potential for an issue.I get that, hat. We've had and overcome adversity rather often lately. We'll be ok. I'm not gonna go into the year preparing for an issue that may or may not even exist. Do you know Mr. Harris? I don't. What details do you have regading Mr Harris' interaction with the staff that supports your prediction?

Let's just hope Papa Harris and Papa Maymon don't join forces. I've never understood why Maymon and Papa think TN is a good fit when he will basically be playing the same position.

Although its rare, there is such a thing as being a troll on you're own teams forum. You fit the bill perfectly.

You fail to read facts for what they are, which is..... fact. Just because a UT fan points that out, doesn't constitute hatred for their own school. There are enough people in each teams fanbase delusional and one-sided enough to carry on the torch of idiocy and stupidity. Have fun running the marathon.

Unfortunately, it's more rare than being a UK troll on on a UT site...

I'm so sick of reading about Calipari on this board...

I'm not the one started the thread. However, it is nice to have my own personal cling-on that follows me around everywhere with nothing relevant to say other than hater jibberish.

Don't be silly. I hardly post here at all out of season. You sometimes give me no choice when I'm just lurking in a thread...

Stephenson is now in shape and slowly rebuilding his draft stock. He's the best example in some time of how stupid mandating a year at the collegiate level is. Neither he nor UC got a damn thing out of that relationship.

The 1-year rule is for the benefit of the NBA. It certainly wasn't put into effect for purposes of fostering relationships between student-athlete and institution.

Not my point. Stephenson's draft stock plummeted and UC wasn't any better than the year before. The fact the NBAPA allows its future members to get screwed like that shows how incredibly weak a union they are.

I couldn't agree more. The one year rule is the worst decision ever made for the athlete, institutions, and the game, both college and NBA.

It doesn't "hurt" either the NBA or ncaabb. It actually makes both more entertaining and profitable. However it's still the worst thing to happen to men's basketball since long shorts.

Said it in another UK thread. We've faced and beat the best UK team we will likely see for at least the next 5 yrs. I'm excited. Bring those boys on, ill take my chances with Shop,Cam,Bwill,Melv +, emphasis on the + our freshman. Over just their freshman ANY day. We made it just as far as their most talented squad, depleted as ish. Man, I was just thinkin about that, why are our FB and BB programs always losing sooo many guys. Geez. I know there's always some turnover, but man.

The same team also beat you by 30 points in Nashville.:birgits_giggle:

Not the point. L is an L and W is a W so long as we are competing at an equal level year in year out. (We've been a little better than UK as of late. =). We start going 500 and were losing by 30, then there's a prob. That was a freak game. We both made the EE, and we beat them. They're supposed to kill us, right? How'd we beat them?
