Hell yes I’m good with lying to congress, they lie to us nearly every damn day. They selectively choose who to prosecute for lying to congress so I absolutely support lying to or simply ignoring congress.

Oh, you were talking about drank. Drank would be a past tense of drink, but that's not a verb in CP's post. I'm sure you knew that, though.

Trump always does this sort of thing as part of a Friday night news dump. If he really believed that he was doing the right thing, why not be proud of it and do it in the middle of the week?

A better description would have been stupidity. Even the “witness” said they were not intimidated. Same stupidity with the target on Judge Berman. Just stupid.

But being stupid isn’t a crime, not yet anyway. Stone behaved like an imbecile. However his trial and “conviction” like everything else for the last 3.5 years is a complete sham. Remember the ridiculous force they brought on his no knock raid? Pure theater.

Correct. This was a very personal and self-serving move by Trump. Trump rewarded a personal friend of his with a commutation of a prison sentence. It was the same friend who protected Trump during his own investigation with lies, a refusal to cooperate and witness intimidation.

Once again, why wait until Friday night to do this? If there was nothing wrong with it, why wasn't it done on Thursday afternoon? Why not be proud of it?

And if Roger Stone was treated so "unfairly" by a "witch hunt"... why not grant him a full pardon, instead of just a commutation? In for a penny, in for a pound, right? It's probably a good guess that Barr was adamantly opposed to a pardon.

This really doesn't bother me at all, though. It's just one more item on a growing list of self-serving corrupt practices. Independent voters have already been cooling on Trump for the past few months. Trump just handed The Lincoln Project with even more ammunition to use against him with those independent voters. I hope he pardons Flynn next... so we can watch his already low poll numbers go down even more.
