It was all manipulated by Hillary Clinton and her cronies. Or, as the Russians would say, "comrades."

The national nightmare known as Russian collusion was an odious invention from Hillary’s fictive imagination and carried out by her cadre of loyal lieutenants who worked secretly in the shadows to smear Donald Trump as a Kremlin asset.

That is the inexorable conclusion that can be drawn from the 39-page criminal indictment by Special Counsel John Durham made public Thursday afternoon following the arrest of Igor Danchenko, who supplied the pack of lies that comprised the bulk of the infamous Steele dossier —the nucleus of the false allegations against Trump.

Danchenko, who once worked at a liberal D.C. "think tank" with deep ties to Hillary, stands accused of lying to the FBI about his sources for the disinformation. Yet, to some extent, he was truthful in his assessment of the dossier itself as nothing more than a compendium of gossip, rumors, innuendo, and noxious speculation.

But from whom did he obtain the sleaze that he marketed? It wasn’t from reliable Russian sources as was long claimed by Christopher Steele, the ex-British spy and author of the dossier. Not even close.

Several of the phony stories intended to frame Trump for conspiring with the Russians appear to have emanated from a longtime Clinton acolyte by the name of Charles H. Dolan Jr., who is identified on page 3 in the indictment as "PR Executive-1" but whose role was confirmed by his lawyer.

Fiona Hill has criticized Christopher Steele and said his dossier likely contained Russian disinformation, but she introduced Igor Danchenko, the main source for the research who was indicted in special counsel John Durham's investigation, to both the former MI6 agent and allegedly a Democratic public relations executive who volunteered for Hillary Clinton's 2016 presidential campaign.

Hill, who worked at the Brookings Institution with Danchenko for years before serving as the Russia expert on Trump’s National Security Council and testifying during the Ukraine-focused impeachment proceedings against former President Donald Trump, introduced Dachenko and Steele a decade ago.

Charles Dolan, a longtime Democratic operative and public-relations maven, worked as a senior consultant for the Russian government from 2006 to 2014 and in 2016 had extensive contacts with high-level Russian officials, according to an indictment unsealed Thursday by Special Counsel John Durham. Dolan in 2016 also fed information to Igor Danchenko, a Russian analyst who served as the primary source for Christopher Steele, a former British spy who investigated Donald Trump on behalf of the Clinton campaign and the Democratic National Committee. During the years he worked for Russia, Dolan was not registered with the Justice Department under the Foreign Agents Registration Act, according to a review of government records.

A prominent press critic has warned mainstream media outlets they face a “steep journalistic challenge” to back up their initial reporting on the Steele dossier in the wake of the latest indictment secured by special counsel John Durham.

Washington Post media critic Erik Wemple wrote Monday that last week’s indictment of Igor Danchenko, a key source for former British spy Christopher Steele’s report, is “bad news” for several media outlets — including Wemple’s own employer.

“The Danchenko indictment doubles as a critique of several media outlets that covered Steele’s reports in 2016 and after its publication by BuzzFeed in January 2017 … CNN, MSNBC, Mother Jones, the McClatchy newspaper chain and various pundits showered credibility upon the dossier without corroboration — and found other topics to cover when a forceful debunking arrived in December 2019 via a report from Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz,” Wemple wrote.

Nixon was set to be impeached for less, and Hiliary Rodham (Clinton) was working on the team to impeach. She learned her total lack of ethics early; there were comments then that her acts them should have had her disbarred.

Dems painted themselves into a corner on that by daring Trump to lay a hand on Mueller and others. However, being the backstabbing, duplicitous trash that they are, dems might very well go for shutting down Durham anyway. It's starting to look like the "new Russia collusion" might completely redefine dumpster fire.

BTW in case some of you younger guys don't know, George Dempster (past Knoxville mayor) and his brothers created the Demster-Dumpster in 1935.
