The Saban era is ovah!

Heck yeah,Beat tie. I fully agree. Bama is dead. I see a decade of Vol victories in the immediate future. I don't see us losing another game in my life. Five years of undefeated seasons! I need those Sudafed pills asap and I'll send u some more Tennessee Tornado. Y'all have a good one down South. I got Yankeeland covered. GO VOLS!!!!!!!

Saban's defense had become antiquated in modern college football. He gave up 30 points three times last year against a middle of the pack schedule.
Gus Malzahn showed the world how to match up against saban's bigger, slower defense. The linebacker and running back positions are becoming less and less important. who cares if saban has ten rbs stacked like cord wood. Having an elusive qb able to get the ball in space to the Josh Malones and Marquez norths of the world is where it's at. You better have the ability to play with five and six dbs. Saban didn't even have two good corners last season and it showed. It limited his ability to substitute, in spite of Bama's lofty recruiting ratings.
Bear was slow to recognize the wishbone had gone the way of the do to bird. Saban's stubbornness, lack of foresight, and lapse in judgment in hiring the biggest clown show in college football will be his demise.
For any fans of other teams reading this thread - please don't assume all UT fans are this delusional.

I have to know: is your "ovah" a reference to Billy Packer's call on CBS of the UNC v. KU national semifinal back in 2008?

Everything has a lifespan. The saban era could be over. He's not adapting his defense as well as he use to. Auburn and Oklahoma revealed huge weaknesses.

You smoke a lot of pot don't you?

I hope you are right... but I seriously doubt it.

Saban is a defensive innovator. Will he drop the 3-4? Doubt it. Will he adapt and adjust if he sees his level of success slipping... almost without a doubt.

The 3-4 is easily modified, as noted there are "50 shades of grey" in the 3-4. Saban is not likely to stagnate on defense. If he does, it won't be for long. It's that new OC he's gotta keep his foot on the neck afore he gets outta hand.

Except for the bad friends you have who, puff, puff, ask a question, remember "that time", then puff, puff, pass, ten minutes later!

always come over for the puff then never when your out...no i dont know those friends....:whistling:

How long will spurrier be at Carolina?

If Richt were going to grab the division by the throat, he'd have done it be now.

Florida is up a creek without a paddle.

Ky and vandy, it just can't be done at those schools.

Not sure it can be done at mizzou either.

That leaves Tennessee

Florida still can recover from the Muschamp experience. Just like after the Zook era, the right guy for the job was available and if history repeats itself then I would look for that to probably happen again or at least get someone of better quality than CWM.

IMO, most will be surprised at the improvement of the offense with LK as their new OC.

The difference in talent from his tenures at UT & USC and compared to Alabama's current roster will be a difference maker. Other than having a fairly "green" QB to work with, what glaring shortcomings does Alabama have on that side of the ball?

We've seen before what LK can do with QB's with little to zero experience. His primary job will be to focus on the offensive production and player development on that side. A much more simpler and focused role than having to manage an entire staff and team.
