Which brings me to another suspicious characteristic of the saban regime. Rarely does he lose a player to academics or discipline. Let them graduate, and Bama players are arrested at a higher rate than players from other schools. That little one horse town known as Tuscaloosa reports to saban.

Today.. Bammers and Gators get to come on here and talk mountains of crap.

One year from now...They won't be around, because all of them will be too busy jumping off of the bandwagon.

I just wish we didn't have so many around here that fall for their trolling tactics. I just can't wait till we do not have to smell them anymore.

I really don't see much trolling going on in this thread. Also, most of the troll jobs come from self proclaimed Vol fans, not those from other schools.

It's philosophy.

Muschamp is too much like Buddy Ryan.

Offensive recruiting and offensive play are attrocious because it is not valued the same way.

Changes have been made. Whether there is progress or not and how quickly it will be seen, I don't know.

He's the real deal as a defensive coach.

Yeah, most fans from other teams on this site are pretty reasonable. 99gator and Hialeah and Lawrence Wright are pretty respectful, and typically bring good thing. TideWarrior is gone now...

I mean, most people respect what's going on here.

What makes VN ridiculous is the group of fans that either are so positive that they want to overhype everything, which only leads to failed expectations, or...

The group of fans that are so negative that you almost wonder if there's anything you can do to please them.

And then there's fans like Beattie and terrypedigo and nationdom, that you then understand why people make fun of us, because they make absolutely ridiculous claims and statements like "we're not recruiting well enough, all we have are 3 stars," or "Saban is gonna lose a ton of games this year, Bama's reign is over." or a ridiculous incoherent run on sentence.

I mean, just use your head. You don't reel in #1 class after #1 class, be one play away from a NC, and then all of a sudden let the bottom drop out and lose all of that success. It just doesn't happen.

The most liked VN posters are the ones who know how to be realistic. You can be a fan, be positive, and be realistic, without being stupid and a "homer."

I think that Kiffin and Muschamp are very similar in the fact that they are good coordinators and good recruiters, but they do not need to be HC's.

And I know someone ridiculed me for saying Kiffin was a good OC, but he was and is. Don't think Saban would have hired him if he wasn't.

He is ovah from the standpoint that he will look like the rest of us.....eight or nine wins....he'll lose at least twice this year if not three times. We might get them in Knoxville. If we beat the cocks last year, we might get the tide this year. It's been a while since we showed up against the red team. As Johnny use to say, you only have to be better on the day you play them!

Son, you don't know your history. Every program that has been on top will eventually fall. Look at spurrier at Florida. We broke their hearts that night in 2001. Some still say that was arguably his best team. It hurt him so bad that he resigned following the season. According to rivals, spurrier was still bringing in top classes, all the way up to his resignation. But we know those classes were not up to par in hindsight.
The same with bear Bryant. Do you think anybody realized that their talent had fallen off while they were riding high in the early 80's? They won the national title two years prior to his death. What about Tom Osborne at Nebraska? He left solich some decent players after his reign of terror, but they didn't achieve as dr Osborne had.
