1. Kudos to the Webb Hand Bells. Whoever is in charge of that group runs a solid operation.
2. This team's ballhandling is disgraceful. They can't dribble it, pass it, or catch it.
3. Get ready to see a whole bunch of zone defense by the opposition. Anyone who plays UT man to man is doing them a huge favor.
4. It's time to show Scotty Hopson he can either get with the program or get lost. If he starts the game Friday night it is an abomination.
5. The defensive intensity at the end of the game was decent. Too bad it took getting down 16 to a middle of the road D-II team to inspire some effort.
6. The second half tape should be burned. Nobody should ever be subjected to seeing that again.
7. It might not hurt to play Goins and Golden together. The defensive pressure and ballhandling would certainly improve.
8. If the two exhibition games are any indication, officiating will hit an all time low this season. It appeared they were making calls at random to meet a quota.
9. Adams could play for a good mid major. He was the best player on the floor tonight.
10. All that said, there's no reason for wrist slitting just yet. The only really disturbing thing was the lack of effort by some of the veterans.

Kudos, Hat.

People are going to overreact because there was always basketball to take away the pain of the football season/state of the program.

It is hard to find a good rotation with all of the new bodies and the unproven talent.

I think they just came in tonight fully expecting to half-ass it and win by 20 points. Surprise!...

I guess it just shocks me we actually lost the game. My main concern is leadership. Talent is there but I did not see any player step in, pull the team together and say hey, we are losing at home to freaking Indianapolis, lets go!!! Very concerning but is probably good overall to see who we will be able to count on this season.

Moss was a pretty good compliment to him, also.

I agree on man to man defense. If any coach does that this season, he should be fired on spot.

This officiating crew was quite a bit worse than Brevard. The collective effort of those three was amongst the worst I've seen from a crew at this level. That said, the play by the guys in white was even worse.

Thread delivered. Sucks to see that once again this team will be fighting the zone all year. I'm hoping Tobias will be the key. He can sit on the free throw lane and either distribute or create a shot.

Surprised you're a fan of the hand bells, I need the vocals.

Better to get a reality check now and not later when it counts. Our team has to execute with maximum effort to live up to their potential. When they don't they'll lose.

This is irrelevant when your talent is far and away better than the talent they're competing against. When you have three top 50 freshmen on your team and 2 consensus top 5 HS players you should NEVER lose to a D-II school period and definitely not at home!!

Time for Pearl to start coaching.

If he can't use this game as motivation, then I just don't know what to say.

If nothing else, this one caught people's attention. I've had four coaches text me asking if the score they saw on the ticker is right.

Dangerous to post without factchecking, but I think Bob said one of those refs worked the Final Four. Unsurprising.

The most distressing thing I noted was the atrocious free-throw shooting. Can we not get past that?
