1. I liked the understated introductions. No flash, just the information.
2. Tennessee's inability to pass, catch, or dribble the ball is startling. I shudder to think what they'll look like against a team that can get up into them defensively at all five positions.
3. They have to start getting into the halfcourt offense earlier. By the time they begin to attack the basket, they are playing against the NBA shot clock.
4. I liked the work on the boards. Tennessee had a decided size advantage and exploited it.
5. Belmont is good. I just don't think they'll be able to beat out Lipscomb in the A-Sun.
6. Tobias Harris is the best all around player Tennessee has had since Dale Ellis. He's going to make a whole bunch of money playing the game.
7. I'm glad VCU won tonight. Wake Forest had no business getting to The Garden.
8. Good win for Georgia. That one will play well come Selection Sunday.
9. If Florida is the class of the conference, the SEC sucks. They are ridiculously poor on the defensive end.
10. Big test tomorrow night. Missouri State is a legitimate NCAA Tournament caliber team.

Is the game on TV anywhere tomorrow night? I couldn't find it.

I just have one thing to say: that was an utterly awful performance.

27 turnovers? Really?

Letting a far-overmatched team back into the game?

We have so many things that need correction it's ridiculous.

Good report as always, though.

We are young, but two startling things:

1) The fact that Tobias Harris didn't have more than 25 touches today is ridiculous.

2) Renaldo Woolridge is the worst off-ball defender in the history of the game.

Good on all accounts but it has to be stated that the referees were playing under a microscope here and it showed.... poorly.

What's your thoughts on the officiating? Couldn't of been much worse...

Tobias is how good? Give me your TOTAL opinion. I deserve that. I want a 100+ plus word disclaimer on his apparent ability. Go!

I saw Tennessee make some really, really, really stupid mistakes.

The refs were awful. Still wouldn't have been the reason we would have lost.

i like the way we hit the free throws down the stretch. thats the way you supposed to do it. we need to develop a killer instinct. we had them beat down the stretch. i really like golden. i think goins had a bad game to say the least.

I've heard people compare Tobias to Carmello Anthony. Not sure if I'd agree with that too much. He's kind of like a Chris Bosh, I guess. Obviously not as good, but the same general style, IMO. Toronto Chris Bosh, that is.

Our game has to be played through Harris.

I know it's not news. But I posted this after the Indy failure. Tobias is the most complete freshman I've ever seen. He's Scottie Pippen good. I'm ecstatic.

Harris like Bosh? Huh?

Harris is definitely big-time. Very composed for a freshman, great body control for a big.

Hopson frequently likes to take one dribble too many. He gives the impression of wanting to look good over playing well.

The fact that Woolridge was given a scholarship doesn't reflect favorably on the staff's ability to evaluate talent.

1. Hopson looked pretty good, with the exception of a few bad ballhandling moments. But at least he had some fire tonight.
2. I may be biased but those refs were absolutely horrendous. We should have been up 25 or 30 and Belmont never would have had a chance to make it a game, but it seemed like the refs were just looking for calls to make.
3. Brian Williams can't get into foul trouble. He has a chance to take this team to the next level.
4. The free throw shooting was decidedly improved over previous years. It got to the point where I actually expected them to make it when they got there, whereas in years past I got nervous whenever they got fouled.
5. If Goins's injury is serious, this team is in serious trouble. We have only one other point guard, he's a freshman AND he's not really a true point guard yet.

It disappoints me that we don't get the ball to Harris more, especially when we need a bucket.
