Tracy McGrady gets high before every game. Always has. Marijuana and basketball are not incompatible.

And do you happen to remember Gary "cocaine" Mclain? He got himself a national championship...on cocaine.

A lot of successful people do this before going to work each day. Look at Charlie Sheen

The Big 10 and the Big 12 are much deeper than the SEC. Iowa is finishing at the bottom of the Big 10. They routed the SEC West champion. Nebraska or Oklahoma State would have won the West.

Iowa routing Alabama in early season hardly merits a mention at this time of the year. UT routed Pitt in early season too. UT is not better than Pitt and Iowa isn't better than Alabma. Mississippi St is starting to play some good ball too. After the early season off-court chemistry issues, they are starting to gel.

While the league as whole isn't great, they're not nearly as bad as you say either.

Yes, it is. The only reason the trash in the West aren't all sitting around with 10 or so league losses is because they get the benefit of playing each other. There's not a team in the SEC West that would finish in the top 5 of the Mountain West.

Alabama would. They've seriously improved over the course of the season. They were 4-2 against the East. They wouldn't be top three in the Mountain West, but they'd be top five.

Regarding the rest of the West, I agree.

No, they wouldn't. Why is being 6-2 against the East anything of merit?

Yes, both Alabama and Mississippi St would challenge for that league's title.

Of course, I am basing that on how Mississippi St is playing right now

Top five is one thing, but that's ridiculous. They'd both challenge San Diego State and BYU? Remember that San Diego State returned everyone from a team that was pretty dead even with us last year, right? And BYU is in the top ten.

Not it's not ridiculous, it's my opinion. Lets see how SDSU and BYU do in the tournament. Better yet, neither would have won the SEC. I know whom SDSU returned and they weren't dead even with us. We didn't beat them soundly, but beat them.

I am talking current circumstances, not how the teams were playing back in December and January

Mississippi State lost to LSU within the last three weeks. That indicates they are on fire .

Something else I noticed yesterday -

4:27 left to go in the game and UK is on the line. Up gets McBee to go in the game. Hopson looks to the bench and waves him off. Then waves him off again. And again. Finally Pearl notices and tells McBee to come back to the bench. I really thought we were going to sub him in.

I couldn't have to shake my head at our subbing pattern and how unbreakable it is for Jones/Forbes regardless of circumstances.

I can't help but wonder how many other times that has happened this year.

LOL...we lose to Vandy at home without him.

His one double digit performance of the year aside, I'll still take the 6'6" athletic fellow over the 6'3" unathletic guy.

How in God's name can somebody shoot 30% from the field?

I am wondering how in God's name you could actually ask that question

I won't disagree with you on the 6'6" guy. I am not a big fan of McBee, I was just stating a fact on this season.

If most the shots a player is taking are beyond the arc, it shouldn't be too difficult to understand how someone could shoot 30% and especially when they aren't shooting a lot of shots

I hope more often than not. Aside from Sunday, Scotty has carried this team down the stretch in games. I can't think of any circumstance when we are behind that McBee should be coming in for Scotty with 4:27 left in the game, unless of course, Scotty has fouled out.

If you watched the last mad scramble of the day for a loose ball. You could tell 2 things. Kentucky wanted it more and we had 2 players getting ready for the NBA:rolleyes:. As they both reached for the ball while the KY players were on the floor looking for a fight. Same problem all year NO HEART:mad:

1. There will not be any players from this year's squad on any NBA rosters next season (unless maybe Tobias)--regardless of whether any declare or not. Hopson is simply not ready for the next level (not much ability to finish at the rim and an inconsistent shooter at best). Harris, either, but he is younger and may have more upside.

2. I'm really disappointed with the lack of Basketball IQ demonstrated by this bunch. They simply are not well-coached on the fundamental game of basketball. However, in retrospect, this seems to be what you get with Pearl-coached teams.

3. Tony Jones (5-3) had a better league record this year than Pearl (3-5).

4. The "bump" incident is really my last straw with Pearl. It is infuriating and gives me zero confidence that he is capable of following the rules and keeping the program out of trouble.
