1. As disjointed as it was, it's a win. Plenty of work to do with the week and a half without games.
2. After K State floundered through a win last night, Frank Martin said, "Either some guys are going to give us what we need out of them or I'm going to get them out of here." Pearl needs to apply that standard to a couple of guys.
3. The difference in ball and player movement when Maze and Tatum were in the game as opposed to Prince and Goins was stark. The rule should be simple: If you stand, you sit.
4. This team has to get better at end of clock situations. Holding the ball and jacking desperation heaves doesn't work out well.
5. Justin Tubbs can play. There are teams in the SEC who don't have a guard near as good as he is.
6. I believe it was the utter crappiness of the halftime show that blew the lights. Who decided a live reenactment of Breakin' 2 would be a entertaining?
7. I didn't understand the delay. Even with the bank of lights out, it was infinitely brighter than any game played at Mackey Arena of Freedom Hall in the '80s.
8. I wonder what marketing genius convinced ETSU to adopt their mascot/logo. It looks like the creepy ghost pirate from Scooby Doo.
9. Best game of the year for Brian Williams. He had a huge size advantage and used it.
10. Our point guard play is still dicey. That's what happens when you shop in the bargain D-I washout aisle.

1. Free throw shooting for hours should be in order.
4. This is the reason for end of clock situations...with our athletes, there is no reason to stand out front and throw the ball around for 20 sec.
9. Absolutely agree. Got schooled on D once and came right back and took the ball strong to the hole. Good to see.
10. It's either the bargain aisle or no point at all. That's what happens when players can't stay out of trouble(Tabb) and can't make the grades(West).

I almost forgot. Kudos to the pep band. "Stacey's Mom" is a welcome addition to the playlist.

Okay, that's what I figured. I cringe when he is in the game. Can't figure out why we continue to play him, especially in crunch time.

sorry for the random, misplaced post: i just turned to the wisconsin-duke game at wisconsin and it sounds like that place is twice as loud as TBA... i hate our crowds

Hoping he can get a couple of easy baskets by standing on the offensive end for a long outlet, while his teammates attempt to play D on the other.

Yeah and they are playing Duke...when we play Florida, Kansas, etc. it will be much louder.

2. JP and who else?
3. I only caught a portion of the 2nd half, but I've felt Goins' shortcomings don't have to do with effort or being active. He just has close to zero offensive ability.
5. Such as UT? Other than hopson, perhaps.

2. I've seen about all of Woolridge and Goins I care to.
3. He stands at the top of the key playing catch with Prince. Cannington or Hubert can do that.
5. If you don't count Tatum as a guard, yes.

Pretty sure Goins was not picked up in the Washout Aisle.

He came from a Flea Market or Yard Sale.

I don't know what is worse. Watching JP's "all around" play or Goins' foul shooting. Also, was it just me or did any body else notice that when Skylar was in the game it seemed that no one wanted to pass him the ball? Especially one time, he stood there clapping for at least 5 seconds wide open and never got the ball!

Hat, I've felt Tatum has played pretty well and consistent so far this season. What are your thoughts on him?

We need to get stronger on the boards

and that halftime show suckeddd

I didn't watch the game because I live in VA, so I had to listen to Bob (drunk at the mic) Kesling...but I can only stand him for about 5 minutes at a time before I need a cigarette and a zoloft. What happened at the halftime show?
