The shut down thread

So you have 4 walls, cameras, sensors and you still don't feel safe.

The point is that is good security. It’s not a binary choice. It’s not a necessarily a wall or drones/cameras. One doesn’t make the other a bad option.

Good security employs all of those in one form or fashion.

I guess the point I www making is that type of argument is for simpletons.

I don't mind this. Again, they are already here illegally, undocumented, and not paying taxes. This fixes all three.
Any minor that came here as a result of their parents is not at fault for being here. This is the country they know. We need to find a way to absorb them into the citizen population but we must not reward the illegal behavior of their parents by doing so. That’s my only big nit on it.

I think everyone would agree that we have an immigration problem, but how does it rise to the level of a National Emergency if it's been going on for decades, and in fact is better now than it has been in 20 plus years? He would lose that argument in court, I believe.

Lol because digging massive tunnels networks are as easy as scooping ice cream. Lol there’s some truly idiotic retorts when it comes to building a wall.
As if ending illegal immigration was as easy as building a multi-billion dollar wall. There's truly some idiotic retorts when it comes to national security.

I wish Trump would just use capitolism and let people buy their way in. Could pile up options on them like the student loan debt saddling all of your kids right now that we want to ignore.

It sure is easy to talk about these damn dirty Mexicans ruining our lives instead of looking in a mirror.

I hate politics and consider myself a moderate. I have voted both sides of the isle for good candidates, and regulalrly disagree with radical stances on either side. We've been boiled down to drivel and charicatures.

Nothing like going on TV to make an offer that you didn't even consult the other side with. Great way to resolve a standoff.

So you are not beating your wife as much as in previous years. Big improvement.

I know, strawman, but what the heck. It ain't only you that gets to use them.

There's no court. It's his decision.

Was fentanyl coming across 20+ years ago?

Was opium coming across 20+ years ago?

When have you see 50,000 come at the border all at once?

What happened to actual reasonable dialogue on a subject?

You disagree, you support terrorism. I disagree, I want innocent children murdered.

I miss common sense discussion.

Save this argument for when the national deficit becomes a real national emergency. We've been kicking that can down the road for 20 plus years as well. Both parties.
